The strategies here make sense, but be aware that it's a lot lf work to implement. The step by step plan seems easy to do, but you'll need time.
Great advice and to the point

Sometimes I just want to be told what to do, without needing to understand the 100,000 word theory and concepts behind something. Reading this book by Steve Scott is exactly what I wanted - no fluff, actionable content, and a step-by-step plan for building and growing a blog that is read by the masses. Another excellent eBook from Steve Scott.

I've been blogging for a year. I have 400 subscribers. After breaking the one year mark and having so few subscribers, I decided it was time I found out why. Steve Scott's book was recommended to me because he's generated actual results and provides a step-by-step formula. Based upon what he says, I feel like I should probably just start over! My goodness! I've done only a handful of what he teaches. NO WONDER MY BLOG TRAFFIC SUCKS! Clearly I have a lot of work to do. At least now I know what to do! First order of business: Guest blogging. As part of that, earlier today I did a radio appearance to promote one of my books. I have so much more work that needs to be done. Here's my GREAT news. I was so discouraged after a year of blogging to a slowly growing list that I was thinking of quitting. Now that I can see what to do, I see that rather than give it up, I need to invest the time to do it right. In the next year, I could have 100,000 subscribers. Even if I only get a tenth of those results, that's STILL 25 times what I have now! Highly recommended.

Full disclosure: I know Scott from his blog and I really appreciate his approach to online business that flies in the face of "gurus" who would charge you an arm and leg for half-assed advice. I also have to say I'm not a complete beginner in the internet marketing space.

My first thought after reading this book: "If only I'd had a resource like that when I was starting out in February this year". Scott puts together heaps of information but keeps it palatable. It's packed with information you can take and run. Importantly, it's not really one of these "get rich quick schemes". It's actually the opposite. And I like that because, quite instinctively, I've gone down this road too.

Scott talks about creating lasting value with your website. He talks about working hard and being patient with results. But most importantly, he shows tools. Plenty of them, in an easy-to-understand sequence you can apply to your blog, whether you have it already or keep dreaming of one.

Finally, a book not written by a marketing guru!

My Blog Traffic Sucks! 8 Simple Steps to Get 100,000 Blog Visitors without Working 8 Days a Week

The book took me by the hand and cured my "paralysis by analysis" syndrome. Before reading the book, I would make project plans that had hundreds of items on my to-do list. The sheer amount of perceived tasks struck me dumb.

Yes, I was using sound marketing principles in my approach. I just couldn't get out of research mode.

The main idea that the book mentions that helped me was Scott's mention of the 80/20 rule. Get 80% of your rewards from 20% of your effort. Following that principle all me to streamline my marketing plan.

Another thing I appreciate about the book is that it is not a get rich quick scheme. He makes no promise to gain 100,000 visitors in a day with nothing more than SEO and a pipe dream. Instead, I received a checklist with 8 simple steps to success through patience and working my 80/20.

Do I have 100,000 visitors since reading the book? NOPE! On the other hand, I am seeing a steady growth in unique visits with more hours in the day for me to live my life.

In the end, I look forward to my blog traffic sucking.

I would like to express my appreciation for this book. It does cover blogging in a very concise way. I do love the blueprint strategy and step by step method he introduces. It gives you everything you need to know in order to get visitors to your website.

The Challenges: I feel that he crammed so much information in this book that a newbie can get VERY overwhelmed with all the information.I operate an authority website in my niche and it was a bit much for me at times. I think this book should have been broken down into two E-Books. This way a person could get in depth information on the first part of his strategy. Then can move on to the next part.

Steve truly desires to help people have success online. His passion is there. I just wish he would make things much simpler. This is one of the reasons so many newbies quit. The Gurus give too much information and not enough practical steps. Someone just starting out doesn't need all the steps he gives. They need a basic plan with a few marketing strategies.

The books is ideal for someone with blogging experience but I don't think it is ideal for someone just starting out. Pro Blogger's Guide to Your First Week of Blogging should be read first before this book. Then as you gain experience, this is what can take you to the next level.

This is a book you want to pick up. AFTER you have learned about basic blogging.
