London born Rosalyn Landor was educated at the Royal Academy Ballet School. She's well remembered in her home country for frequent appearances on television and stage. After relocating to Los Angeles it was not long before she became actively involved in providing voices for Disney productions (the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio), and, of course, for Random House Audio (Sacred Hearts, The Private Patient).
Her modulated well-trained voice is perfect not only for Lara Langton, the twenty-something professional in Twenties Girl, but also for Sadie, Lara's late but nonetheless determined great-aunt. One might imagine that ghosts would speak in hushed tones - not so for Sadie who informs Lara that she simply cannot rest peacefully until a necklace that belonged to her for some 75 years is recovered.
Of course, Sadie hasn't had much of a chance to do any resting because her funeral is in progress when she begins entreating Lara to help her. Well, who can turn down a ghost? So Lara's off on the often funny sometimes touching quest for Sadie's necklace. Along the way she begins to dress as Aunt Sadie did (a girl in the 1920's), and even picks up a bit of her vocabulary.
As always Kinsella is entertaining and even more so when she adds a supernatural touch as she does with Twenties Girl. - Enjoy!
