Bien qu'il soit en anglais, je le conseil a tout le monde. Ce bouquin est vraiment complet, concret et cohérent. Il nous apprend les bases et les secrets de la nutrition afin d'avoir un régime solide et un corps encore plus solide.

I enjoyed reading this book. I haven't learned much but it is a good summary of what you should know if you wanna build muscle and lose fat. I recommend it.

This book takes all the current information out there regarding fat loss and puts them into one great program. First it goes over carbs and tells you when you should eat them (and when you shouldn't) for fat loss and or muscle gains (whichever you're into) and then morphs into carb cycling so that you can burn fat and gain muscle in the same program. Then, if you want to speed things up a bit, take your carb cycling plan into an intermittent fasting program for even faster results. No calorie counting here (because it's too hard to be accurate with it, unless you make 100% of your own meals). This book focuses on portion control instead. Within the carb cycling and/or IF program, this book recommends small meals throughout the day - 2 to 3 hours apart, with strategically eating carbs at specific times around your workouts. As for the workouts recommended in this book, it recommends heavy weight training and HIIT. You will cycle your carbs, depending on which workout you do in a specific day. It also tells you which supplements to take, and when. Of course, it also preaches the importance of a LOT of water, plenty of sleep, and stress reduction. It also shows you why it's beneficial to take a cheat day every week. All in all, I think this is the most well-rounded, easy to read, book that I have read on fitness tips. It would be a good program for someone who has already done the baby steps: i.e., cutting out the junk food and already on some kind of steady workout program, and is ready to take it to the next level. This ebook costs 99 cents and it takes half an hour to read, so go for it.

Pretty well done. Book also has links to videos which makes the subject more "tangible" and interactive. Nice touch on diet and going a little in the Intermittent Fasting. Author not shy to refer to other books and websites for further info. No bias towards any particular supplement or workout machine.
The only problem I have is excessive use of foul language. It might be fine if you're only working with young guys or maybe some new generation new yolk gals. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. Would not recommending watching the videos with children around. Every sentence has a word starting with f, b or sh. Otherwise good info.

If you read his blog or subscribe to his YouTube videos, theoretically you could get this info for free. However, the author took what he considered the best of the best advice, and put it all together in a well organized manner. Most of the advice is spot on and extremely useful, although some nuggets are simply extreme, for example, soaking in an ice bath to help burn fat. You certainly can discern for yourself what is best for you, but Overall, I would say Brandon Carter provides sound nutrition and exercise advice. He's a trainer and fitness model who walks the talk and has helped many people get in great shape,obviously enjoys what he does, and has a good sense of humor.

For 99 cents, it certainly was worth checking out. It's got some major pros, some cons, and one major flaw. A list:

Pros: Of most of the diet and exercise books I've been through, this is one of the better ones. I like that it's not as detailed as some diet programs, and leaves room for adapting the principles. Just give me the basics and let me apply them, rather than give me a detailed program where I give up when I feel I fall short. Even though Brandon Carter admits that this is nothing original, it's a compilation of proven methods that work. They worked quite well for me, too. Ultimately that is what we want a book like this to do is WORK, so why wouldn't I give it 5 stars?

Cons: Some of the details are TOO lacking (what do I expect for a buck?). He supplements the book with some youtube videos and other references, which help but this is where the biggest con for me lies...

Major Flaw: Regardless of how good all the information is, I'm basing this review on whether or not I would recommend it to anyone looking for this information. I can't do that. Why? Because of this guys mouth and ego. I certainly have some conservative friends and family who wouldn't care much for filtering through his language, and though this book doesn't have this as bad, his youtube videos he links to certainly do, and the information within those videos prove to be pretty important to filling in the blanks. Beyond that, his ego reminds me of the entire reason most people like to avoid gyms. He comes across as conceited, not confident, and it's bothersome to the point of being repulsive, which is too bad because his information really is quality, but from a marketing standpoint, there are certain elements of people's personality that should be constrained to maximize appeal, otherwise it overshadows the message.

Summary: for the buck I paid, it was worth the information I got. I wish he had a PR expert to help him shave off the edge of a book I would otherwise recommend to most people. I always warn people that he has a sailor mouth and a gym-rat ego that can be repulsive and overshadow the information he gives, so if they can overlook that, it's worth their time - but since it's info that you can find in other places, I'd keep hunting if you don't want to bother.

First of all I need to say that im a fan of Brandon Carter, the guy has posted some nice videos on youtube to help others get their muscle right and specially the ABS part.

This book contents everything you need about a proper diet to start "cutting" off the fatness, but remember...This book its mostly for people who already started working out, isnt to lose 100kgs or 200kgs.

The book is full of quality information, but need to do a reorganization of the contents. Why i said this because I was thinkin to see inside the book divide in 2 parts: Diet and Workout plans, but everything was mixed, it will be a little difficult for the newbie reader.

Anyways the book is great and contents helps a lot. 4 out 5 only because need a reorganization.
