Très bon livre quoi qu'un peu basique quand on travaille dans le secteur du référencement. Mais le link building est une chose qui se travaille dans le temps

I received this book just a few days ago and haven't been able to put it down. I bought it based on 2 referrals, one was personally given to me over the phone from an SEO guy I pay to consult with from time to time, and the other was from Matt Cutts of Google - not directly, of course, but via the quote at the top of Mr. Ward's website. I figured anyone worthy enough to be mentioned by Mr. Cutts is certainly worthy of my attention.

I'm an inventor/entrepreneur who has to wear many hats. After creating and figuring out how to manufacture my product, the next hat I wore was "web developer/online marketer." Then, after the sites were built and converting, I put on an SEO hat in order to generate more traffic. I am by no means an expert on SEO at this point, therefore, I'm always hungry for new information.

I consider this book the new bible for SEO because it teaches just about everything you need to know and if you're an amateur, like me, it's best to learn the right way from the very beginning. OK. Enough fluff. Here are my observations about the book:
1. It teaches the proper mind-set for approaching link building. This is the most important part.
2. It suggests many wonderful SEO tools and the sources to get them. I have already downloaded a half dozen.
3. It suggests lots of fantastic sources of information about SEO. Sign up for free to these sites and you'll get email teasers, ebooks, etc that are full of great information.
4. Takes the guesswork out of implementing your stategy to get links directly from webmasters in related niches.
5. It inspired me to become a paid monthly member of "Link Moses", which looks to be the best $8/month anyone I'll ever invest in SEO. Because of the info provided on Link Moses, I revamped an old Ebook and am now putting it on Ebook submission sites to generate links and traffic. This is something I wouldn't have thought of otherwise.

All in all, this book will exponentially shorten your SEO learning curve by simplifying the art and science of link building, and, for less than $20, it's an absolute steal. I don't know him and we've never corresponded, but many thanks, Eric, my SEO hat fits much better now.

This book is loaded with ideas and methods for creating links to your site that can not only get it ranked in the SERPS but can also generate a huge volume of traffic from related sites in your market or industry. It's not quite the ultimate guide though because while Eric and Garrett walk you thru their processes for effective link building there are pieces or thought processes not thoroughly explained. Parts of the book reveal methods at a high level and then leave it up to the reader figure out how to apply them. Granted every market, niche, and industry are unique thus requiring different approaches, vocabulary, and assets. However it would've been extremely helpful to have 5-10 consistent examples throughout the book of major markets so the differences in approach and application of link building methods was more clear. Even without the examples though the book is excellent and a must read for anyone looking to rank their site in the SERPS and drive a lot of non-paid traffic.

When I first bought this book, I didn't know what to expect. So let me get this straight: this is a great book for both beginners and intermediates link builders.
The problem with this book is that both Eric and Garrett spend too much time explaining useless things (like how to use their Link Prospecting tool), and not enough on important things like how to create better relationships with prospects, how to do link building on international sites, how to do a good competitive analysis, etc.
It's not that they don't talk about those topics, it's just that they don't spend enough time on them. In fact, most of the topics they explain you can find them easily searching the web.
So, be prepared to skip parts of this book, because they won't be very relevant. And if you find out that you didn't know about something, search it on Google to expand that knowledge.
This book is just not enough.

This was not worth the price of the purchase. I am not sure if I was looking for some more advanced or specific knowledge or techniques, but to walk away with such basic advice as "write good content" and "ask other people to link to you", albeit correct, does not make me feel I learned anything other than what you can already get from any other website, forum, or group discussing the same issues. Had I been browsing the book at a store I probably would have had a chance to check out the interior and discard it. In this case I was fooled by the positive reviews. You should not.

I read a lot of books on business, specifically related to websites and Internet marketing, and it is such a joy to find an "oh, wow" book that you have a hard time putting down.

Ultimate Guide to Link Building is one of those books. I kinda expected it to be because I've liked every book I've read from Entrepreneur Press, and because the authors (Eric Ward & Garret French) are respected guys in the industry.

I was a little concerned that the book would be current given Google's recent updates, but I think all is good!

It's easy to understand tactics and step-by-step instructions will benefit beginner, intermediate and expert link builders considerably.

I recommend it to students in one of my courses.
