I run a software company that wants to use webinars to promote our products as well as educate our target market about issues related to our industry. We are already a GoToWebinar customer and I was excited to purchase this eBook because of the reviews. However, I was quite disappointed upon reading it. There are numerous typos - the book really could use an editor. I was surprised that GoToMeeting sponsored the book without having those typos corrected - it's as if they didn't read it themselves. I do not know the author nor had I heard of him prior to seeing this ebook. It makes me wonder if the other reviewers had the same unbiased point of view.

Typos aside, there are also many over-reaching assumptions that come across very "salesy." For example, the author talks about estimating revenue based on an email list size of 500 and presuming 20% of the list members attend the webinar. In reality, that is an extraordinarily high percentage.

He does provide some good suggestions on preparing for the webinar, such as arriving early and welcoming attendees as they login. He also has recommended times to host the webinar based on his experience. However, he does not clarify whether the time of hosting was affected by the type of product and its target market. Little things like this would have provided a lot more insight to readers who sell a variety of products and services. It felt like there were many generalizations in the book that didn't apply to many industries.

Also, there are very few concrete suggestions on how to market the webinar beyond one's house list or a partner's list. He talks about how he was able to create a LinkedIn group with tens of thousands of members, but does not provide details on what caused the group to grow to that size. It would have been useful to read specific tips.

This is not a bad book, but it is definitely not a 5-start book. The myriad of typos alone would have disqualified it for that rating. The author's tone is friendly and open. He does seem to want to share what he knows. I wish the book didn't fall short of providing some really helpful information. He seems to know a lot more than he included. If you are a complete newbie to the professional working world, then perhaps you will pick up more from this book than anyone with 2 or more years of work experience. For the rest of us, it could have used an infusion of the author's additional knowledge and experience.

His Ultimate Webinar Marketing Guide is sure to be one of the best informational products, written by one you can trust. A great read by a great story teller and informative writer with real world experience.

Lewis' new book is another success in a long line of successes that he's amassed over the last four years. From mastering Linked-In to running webinars to sharing his success on stage, his instruction on the webinar success formula in this book is really insightful.
Add with it his recipe for quickly hitting the top of any market and you're in for an awesome treat with this book.

Lewis is the anti-fluffy expert. He knows his stuff and he knows it because he has done it day-after-day. What's cool about The Ultimate Webinar Marketing Guide is we all get a short cut. All the mistakes and trial and error that Lewis had to go through...we get to skip it as he teaches exactly what works (and what doesn't). Now THAT is something useful and worth reading.
