I just love this storyline: two vamps, one human living, loving and working together. But, Brett is uneasy. While he knows that Lisa will flirt, fed and even have sex with others, he finds himself unusually jealous when he sees Leo flirting with a customer at the bar. Lisa is amazed at both Brett's jealousy and the fact that he doesn't understand that Leo would do almost anything for him, and she pushes Brett to make demands.

But, it's Leo's birthday, and Brett wants to get him the best present possible. The motorcycle is sleek, gorgeous, dark and fast - not unlike Leo. But, there is a condition. Brett is asking Leo to submit to a series of rules: no sex with anyone else without his explicit permission.

Another story that manages to provide interior voicing that adds an emotional element to an already well-defined story and characters. Leo's fears about being alone or forgotten, Brett's fears about Leo's reactions or willingness to stay with conditions applied. Even the interior voicing during the sex scenes add elements that deepen the connection and understanding of the characters, and actually allow us to see them and their connections; flaws and all.

This series is an interesting exploration of the dynamics of multiple partner relationships, conversations, issues, and even the daily concerns are well defined and feel entirely possible given the proper circumstances.

Walking the Edge is the third story in Kallysten's On the Edge series. It takes place six months after the first book in the series On The Edge. Here we find Brett, Leo and Lisa happily living together and it's Loe's birthday. Long ago Leo and Lisa had made a no present rule but Brett had made no such promises. What he get's for Leo makes Leo's day and even fulfills the needs of Brett that Lisa was hoping to fill when she first invited Leo into their lives and their bed.

As usual Kallysten delivers us an awesome read. This part of the series gives us a closer look at the relationship between Brett and Leo. We see more or what would be considered a "human" type of bonding. One built on devotion and dare I say...love? These males have captured a piece of my heart.

Kallysten continues to wow me with everything that she writes.
