From Library Journal
McGraw-Hill is attempting to define exactly what the roles and responsibilities of that most nebulous new profession, the webmaster. In this case, the perspective is very technical: Internet infrastructure, network and TCP/IP fundamentals, security, electronic commerce, interconnectivity, name service, ftp, and so forth. This book may certify the webmaster as engineer but not as artist. While McGraw-Hill has just created this webmaster certification on its own, having this certification will come to mean something about the person who obtains it. This certification will be highly marketable for the general public and to libraries as a way of ascertaining the skills of incoming webmasters. As such, the book belongs in most collections.
