This book is interesting and well worth reading. This book only deals with the end of MJ's life and how he became involved in the London concerts, AEG, the financial contracts and MJ's death. The explanations of how awful the AEG contracts were for the MJ concerts, how they took advantage of MJ and how he ended up being sold out by everyone around him were hard to read about. According to this book, MJ was trapped in a terrible legal situation, surrounded by corruption, and AEG guaranteed themselves to make millions of dollars from the concerts whether MJ performed or not.

This book is very believeable, and gives a whole new look at the professional pressures and extreme difficulties MJ faced in his life. It has been reported that MJ told people that he was afraid someone wanted him dead -- if you read this book, you'll realize that MJ knew the ugly truth. MJ was betrayed by everyone around him,the lawyers, the promoters, the doctors -- and even after his death, they are all still getting rich off of MJ. The author does raise a good question -- when MJ died, why didnt anyone hear more outrage out of AEG ?

It is interesting to see that this author also makes a comment about how MJ's mother does nothing to help MJ get off drugs even when she is made aware of her son's bad situation, and is specifically asked to help get MJ to rehab to regain his health. In several biographical books about MJ that I have read, authors repeatedly note similar patterns of behaviours from Katherine and question how his "loving" mother never made any moves to protect MJ from his father or from his downward spiral into drug addiction. Yet, she continues making money off MJ to this day.

I would have given this book 5 stars if it had been better edited, and not so repetitive. The author makes it an easy read and explains how the concert promotion business works, how greedy and corrupt the system is, and how it works against the artists. It certainly worked against MJ. I recommend this book.

The author did not say anything you did not already know. This is just a money maker if you want to give your money away.

The book is written by an insider from days of old. There is some insightful information, but a lot of conjecture. It was interesting

If I had fifty shows sold out with Michael Jackson, and my company stood to profit an enormous amount of money from these shows, naturally I would be concerned about Michaels health. I would also do anything and everything within my power to preserve it. "e;

For reasons that are presently unknown, AEG agreed to pay Dr. Tohme Tohme $100,000 per month pursuant to the terms of a separate agreement with TT International, LLC. "e;

Michael had a number of offers from around the world that would have paid him $10-$15 million for each performance. AEG had Michael so financially trapped that he could not consider any of them because he knew nothing about them. "e;
