The Root of All Healing: 7 Steps to Healing Anything (Paperback) - Common
The Root of All Healing: 7 Steps to Healing Anything (Paperback) - Common
par By (author) Misa Hopkins
Edition : Broché

3.0 étoiles sur 5 Healing Experience, 9 juin 2015
Misa offers her personal healing experience. She began with observing herself, her daily life, what she used to eat and the fact that she had bad digestion, etc. So she found alternative means that started to work, like good nutrition, enough rest and sleep, meditation, dream work, and so on, until she found that the answer of her healing journey lied in her Divine inner nature and her connection with Spirit.

1.0 étoiles sur 5 Disappointing, 9 juin 2015
I have been really disappointed by the scarcity of recipes offered and also by the fact that most of them mix the sweet with the salty.
Natalia Rose is absolutely right when she insists on following a diet based on natural, organic foods, which are more easily transformed and eliminated than unhealthy processed foods and artificial additives. She is also heartily in favour of natural breastfeeding.
Another good point is the fact that she strongly recommends transitioning from cooked meals to cooked and raw ones and finally, if desired, to a 100% raw diet.
But for the price I expected a much larger choice of recipes.
If you live in a big US city, it's okay, you will find all the ingredients she mentions, otherwise, they're not so handy.
Also, in her daily life, she mostly eats fruits and vegetables, invariably coupled with 2 glasses of wine (Wait, are we talking of the average big American glasses?) and a lot of cocoa/dark chocolate/coconut flesh. So it is clear that she needs alcohol daily in order to boost her energy to keep pace with her day-to-day life!
So to me this is not a book worth the price. She also makes a lot of occult and/or overt publicity to many products she likes produced by big names, as for ex. Francis Ford Coppola's wines. I think this cross-marketing technique has assured her a lot of notoriety and the many good reviews, which perhaps she does not deserve to the full.

The author (a non-Native) has faithfully reproduced in English many Native stories, helped by his friend Albert White Hat, Lakota Sioux.

The English level is suitable from the age of 10 on.

This is my first book about Native Storytelling and I am happy with my purchase, suitable for adults too and orned by colourful illustrations. More traditional Native books can sometimes omit pictures, because every reader has to figure them out on their own to train their imagination, but I needed a more mediated version, so that I could be able to better enjoy the content.

Albert White Hat says that these stories are to be told and re-read many many times, in various stages of life, so that every time we can learn something more.

To me it is a satisfactory choice, with many teachings for spiritual and everyday life.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 A Native Herbal Book Also Useful for Europeans, 9 juin 2015
I've read this book with such a pleasure! It has opened to me to uncommon ways of dealing with plants, also from a spiritual point of view. Native people knowledge is so ancient, though so important to practise nowadays too!

Very simple and effective explanations are given about gathering herbs in the proper lunar phase; Tis Mal Crow is also concerned with correct and respectful gathering and propagation of herbs, especially those with extinction risk.

The author is a real healer, a "root medicine man", as Native people call him, so everything he writes comes from his life experiences, not from hearsay, so this book has a sound, reassuring quality in it.

Many herbs are only found in North-America, and are especially part of the Native Tradition, like for ex. Sweet Leaf/Wild Bergamot or False Solomon's Seal.

For non-Natives or Europeans, this can be a useful tool too, because, out of 22 herbs, 2/3 of them are available in European fields or herbal stores, such as St. John's Wort, Tansy, Yarrow, Birch, Boneset, Bull Thistle, Catnip, Dandelion, etc.

Well, I am not used to tibetan instruments, so sometimes I have found the sounds relaxing and harmonious, but especially with upper chakras, sounds are a bit scaring to me. So my opinion is based only on these feelings, I am not a connoisseur...
