The book is OK - but not great.

Early on in the book the author lost a great deal of credibility in my eyes when he tried to simplify the concept of metabolism. He explained that in physics energy and matter are interchangeable - and so the calories you eat are converted into the mater of your body and when you lose weight you are converting matter into calories. This - as hopefully most people will realise is the description of a nuclear reaction. In chemical reactions - such as metabolism- there is no conversion between matter and energy - matter and energy always being conserved in chemistry.

Reading such complete nonsense at this early stage in the book left me… Lire la suite

Excellent reference for a scientific approach to eating and diet. This is not really a book for "reading", but acts as a great guide and reference work. The book is full of information covering an astonishing number of things that you would not imagine could be influenced by diet. The lists of good and bad foods for each blood type is pretty exhaustive. After several months of hard exercise, but remaining overwieght this information has finally done the trick and started changes happening for me. I was also addicted to coffee and chocolate and discovering that they were not good for my type worried me.
