The one thing I like about The Tiger's Wife is that it is a beautifully written book. In fact, it is mesmerizing. I am awed by the creative mind of the author. Besides, it is a first book. The Berlin Deception (ages 17 and up) (English Edi&hellip de Jeffrey Vanke
5.0 étoiles sur 5 A captivating story, 6 février 2014
I enjoyed spy novels back in the 1970s and 1980s during the cold war era. The passion for novels of that genre sort of waned in the 1990s. But my interest got revived with all that is going on in the world. Still, the ongoing of that era and before is richer. The Berlin Deception is one of the novels that rekindled my interest for spy novels. Its rich plot, historical perspective, intriguing characters and amazing setting did the job. Disciples of Fortune, and The Key to Rebecca, The Berlin Deception capped my stories of intrigue that I enjoyed.

An interesting book, which tries to explain the emergence of western civilization as the dominant culture in our times. Revealing though it is; it failed to explain a lot that defied the views postulated. A great read though. Union Moujik, Collapse, The Shades of Fire, The Third Chimpanzee are other interesting books to read.
