Alizee has grown up a lot since she premiered with the album 'Gourmandises'.Her third studio album is easily her best with the classic 'Mademoiselle Juliette' as standout but also an array of contrasting gems on offer,in particular the superb 'Lonely List'which should have been instant single material-the infectious 'Lily Town' and the pseudo-rap 'Decollage' by way of illustration. She may be a little 'un but she is head and shoulders above her dull compatriots 'Dionying' the nation to death! Oh,dear. After two acceptable albums that embraced the kiddy-pop/m.o.r market Lorie has produced a real STINKER here.Ranging from sub 'Latino' repeats to outright slush and over loud accompaniment masquerading as rock music, drowning out her vocals and exposing her limited range. The single 'Weekend'is abysmal-by anyone else it would disappear without trace.'En regardent la mer'is the only track worth a second play.Lyrics and music are so shallow it is unbelieveable. On this showing Lorie is destined for the excercise video market sooner than expected.Hear before you buy.
