A very satisfactory presentation of the English version, albeit with two versions on one blu-ray. Subtitles are removeable. The original 3.0 soundtrack has been matrixed in a 2.0 stereophonic DTS-HD audio mix, which sounds accurate and full-bodied when decoded with Dolby Pro-Logic or DTS-Neo 6.
As for the film, Brooks certainly captures the essence of Conrad's novel, and O'Toole is perfectly cast in a signature role almost too reminiscent of LAWRENCE OF ARABIA.

This fine edition of Man Hunt has forced French subtitles when played back in English, so if that upsets you, it's best to wait for an alternate edition.

This French blu-ray offers up a preview of just how wonderful the original-language version will look when the English-friendly, BFI version hits the UK in March 2013. Sadly, the English track on this version has a mastering problem that begins approximately an hour and a half into the feature, when suddenly the dialogue channel shifts to the right channel for the remainder of the film. Interestingly, the forced French subtitles were defeatable on my all-region player: If you press the subtitle key on your remote after selecting play, the <Francais 1> subtitles option will allow the English-language version to play without French subtitles.
