The Cupboard Under The Stairs (English Edition) de Roger Knowles
3.0 étoiles sur 5 Good read, 30 avril 2014
I almost gave up on this as I thought it was going to turn out to be sheer fantasy, but not at all and i'm glad I persevered. Dreadful and weird murders, police investigation with a touch of fantasy/horror.
I was a tiny bit irritated by the Detective Inspector who had a lot of inner smiles of indulgence for his inexperienced colleague, a female colleague as it happens ... but the characters are well-drawn and believable.
On the whole a good read, not a masterpiece, but a good, solid, decent book combining credible with fantasy, but not going too far with the unbelievable. That in itself is an achievement.

J'ai adoré ce livre. L'idée est géniale, l'histoire pleine d'humour, personnages bien dessinés, parfaitement crédibles, aimables. C'est un livre que j'offrirai.

A very well-constructed story, threads reaching in many directions, but always skilfully woven into the… Lire la suite
