Finally we have all the lyrics to the great songs on "The Record". It should have been included in the original liner notes of the CD set. No matter. This is the full collection for Piano, Guitar and Vocals, for those brave ones.

Major Improvement

I have to tell you, I was amazed at how revised and improved this new anthology book was, compared to the box set anthology book (red-beige color). This book has all the songs from "The Bee Gees--Their Greatest Hits--The Record album".
The guitar chords are improved, more specific, and not to mention, they sound better once you play them. Here are the songs that the chords that were improved or totally refurbished:
How Deep is Your Love
Nights on Broadway
Love So Right
There are probably others; just got this in the mail the other day. But I tell you, I was expecting the same old chords for the good songs, and yet, the Bee Gees revised the chords to make it easier and sound better.
Only music sheets are present in this book--no discography or comments from the Bee Gees about songs, which doesn't really matter since the new chords make up for that very nicely.

All this, and the bass!

Anyone who knows their Bee Gees knows how important brother Mo was to their sound. Most music books give you vocals and the piano/guitar in the treble staff. This one throws in the bass clef, and if you've heard anything in their first 20 years, especially Jive Talking and Fanny Be Tender even To Love Somebody, you'll know how important the bass was to the structure of the song. If you're on a solo instrument and need to work the whole song yourself then you'll appreciate having those little bass lines like that drop in Jive Talking or the intro of To Love Somebody.
It's also nice to have the actual words if you've been mumbling Saved By The Bell for all these years. The only fault is there isn't anything to help with the infamous vocal harmony. You get the lead vocals and that's about it, not even the "Blaming it all" scream from Nights on Broadway that started the whole falsetto thing for Barry.
