Full of short but interesting case studies of people who have started their own small businesses (some 1-person, some niche, some part-time, some on-line, etc).
Provides some ideas for low level, low cost networking/marketing aspects.
Very worthwhile reading if you are wondering if/how to start something small yourself.

One of the few books of its kind that I read more than once.
The good parts:
- clear methodology : the author chose to interview creators of businesses that require low start-up capital, no special skills (advanced training), and earn at least a middle-class income.
- well written, an easy and quick read
- meaty. Of course it does not give a recipe for success, but much of the advice is sound and actionable, if not revolutionary.
- too much reader-oriented sales pitch, i.e. "you can live the dream"... too bad because it sometimes reads like one of those corny self-help books, which it definitely is not.

The $100 Startup; Reinvent The Way You Make A Living, Do What You Love, and Create A New Future by Chris Guillebeau is a book for those either looking for information on moneymaking ideas as a side hustle or as a main business. The following excerpts from the book; Page 47 covers details on the Grammar Girl podcast, pages 130 and 131 discuss the idea around a launch campaign, pages 160 and 161 feature the topic of self-promotion (or as the author calls is gentle self-promotion), pages 190 and 191 mention about creating a “hall of fame” and “referalls”, and page 257 touches on a morning group.

J'ai lu de nombreux livres sur les startups, le lean & co. Celui-là m'avait été recommandé à plusieurs reprise, et à raison. Des exemples concrets, un style agréable, finalement un condensé de bonnes idées pour se lancer... !
