A good read to understand things happening in daily French life and increasing french vocabulary. The author introduces new french words embedded in English sentences that makes them easier to understand and retain. These words include very familiar words in french such as "machin" that no one coming to France is going to escape very easily. On the other hand words like, ""burgeon" are also introduced at the arrival of spring that is not a frequently used one. Also, the book presents the daily life of a french family in an interesting manner thus helping one to comprehend the rhythm of daily french life. And the evolution of life with the arrival of new seasons and especially the most loved, summers. The writer also introduces to french customs that are part of daily life and that would help one intermingle with the people here easily. I would recommend this book to anyone who plans to come or already present in France to understand the french life and culture.
