I have been using this book to teach French to young people and to adults as well for the past 20 years - I am also currently using it to teach English to French students. It does work and it's very interesting to see the book from the opposite angle! Most students of whatever age appreciate the humorous drawings. There are one or two things I would take issue with - the swimming pool scene on page 7 doesn't work, I tend to skip over it. On page 18, we would not say that the hamster is entre (between) the plants, but among (parmi) them. If parmi is too advanced at this stage, change the place where he is found! The word 'préférer' is missing from the glossary. Overall though, a very useful introduction to the language.
