Quand ce DVD est enfin sorti en zone 2 française, je ne crois pas avoir été le seul à bondir et à le précommander sur Amazon.fr, tant ce film est grandiose et nécessaire. L'image est de toute beauté et le film est extraordinaire (Cary Grant & Grace Kelly sont inoubliables).
Un ancien voleur de diamants reprend du service pour aider la police à attraper (le titre anglais est "To Catch a Thief") un autre voleur qui utilise ses méthodes. Cette traque se déroule alors que le héros est courtisé par deux femmes. Bien sûr, l'articulation des deux intrigues est absolument parfaite...
N'hésitez plus, achetez ce monument du cinéma !

Cet excellent film de Hitchcock n'est pas souvent cité parmi ses meilleurs. C'est un tort ! Les acteurs sont superbes, la réalisation est élégante et pleine d'humour et les décors (Nice et ses alentours) offrent un cadre magnifique, magnifié par le travail sur l'image. Il s'agit plus d'un film d'aventure à la James Bond de la grande époque (2 femmes à fort caractère qui courtisent un héros plein de charme, d'assurance et de maladresse, en mission, cherchant à dissimuler, sans succès, sa vraie identité le tout parsemé de traîtrises et de manipulations), plutôt que d'une intrigue policière classique. En bref, un film indispensable pour tout amoureux du cinéma.
D'autant plus qu'il s'agit ici d'une très belle édition proposant une image superbe (rendant ainsi justice à la qualité du travail sur la photo). Les bonus, quant à eux, quoique menus, sont assez intéréssants. Une très belle acquisition.

j'ai bien aimé, interessant. Il ya tout: la mère, le faux coupable, la blonde, la nourriture (quiche lorraine) et Grace Kelly et Cary grant en meme temps. Quelques scènes pas mal agremente le film et plusieurs point positif. Un bon film malgré un scénario pas très riche.

Ce film appartient pour moi à la catégorie étrange de ces oeuvres qu'on n'aime pas, sans pour autant les détester au point de s'en souvenir. Pardon de prendre la place d'un commentaire sur le site, mais comme je viens de le revoir par erreur et que je voudrais vraiment que ce soit la dernière fois, le meilleur moyen est de l'écrire quelque part.

C'est l'histoire d'un voleur de bijoux à la retraite vivant sur la Côte d'Azur, que l'on soupçonne d'avoir repris du service. Il rencontre Grace Kelly, une jeune fille riche qui tombe instantanément amoureuse de lui, mais il a la tête ailleurs, vu que tout le monde pense qu'il est un voleur.

Intrigue mince, musique un peu forte, beaucoup de longueurs, avec une mention spéciale à un dialogue entre Cary Grant et Grace Kelly dans le parc d'une résidence somptueuse, qui n'apporte absolument rien à l'intrigue, et qu'on dirait posé là juste pour le plaisir de filmer des gens beaux dans du beau. Note : film à ne surtout pas visionner en VF, accent anglais de deux des personnages "vwaiment exaspéwant"...
