An enjoyable telling of the story of a strange man
le 12 octobre 2009
As with any good biography, this is a mixture of facts and events peppered with anecdotes and first-person references. Although the title says that this is the story of the "Strangest Man" and a "Mystic of the Atom", anyone acquainted with genius of this caliber or men as brilliant as Dirac knows that people who delve in physics and other highly intellectual pursuits are by nature quirky to say the least and more commonly very eccentric.
Although the book sometimes dwells on items of Dirac's life that should have been briefly mentioned, and in some cases, need not be mentioned at all, it is on the whole an interesting book and a good reference for that period of the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth Century, that, like in painting and other arts, seems to have seen a gathering of the people who would make and change our history in the most profound ways.
