An easy entertaining read which packs in the facts from recent research into exercise. If you currently do any exercise, this book is going to make you pat yourself on the back. If you don't do any exercise at all, you may be persuaded to change after reading this.
The last chapter was a real shock - whatever exercise you do, sitting around is really bad for you. Sitting around has real, demonstrable negative effects and they are not always mitigated by the exercise you do.
I wasn't surprised that a lot of the things I learned about exercising around 45 years ago are true, but that most modern ideas are myths. Still, I never underestimate the pleasure of reading something that confirms my beliefs!
