Being Victoria's son, loosing his father at the age of nine was no joke, obviously. But being ill with an illness which, at the time, nobody hardly knew anything about and which had no cure was worse. For the child, the growing boy, the young man, life was difficult and painful in all meanings of the word. I am glad I have had the luck to meet Prince Leopold in this book at least. It's great reading and I would recommend it to all young people, its useful to learn that the life of a prince is not to be envied !
The book is well documented and well written, I couldn't put it down until the end, and I am sure I'll read it again.
