As far as free chick-lit is concerned, this book exceeded my expectations. Some elements of the plot are of course unrealistic or predictable. But the central character is endearing, and the narration quite smooth. Some moments are still memorable a week or two after having read it - which is more than can be said of many unsubstantial books that one might be tempted to put into the same category. Of course this is not high-brow literature, but it's perfect to relax at home or on the train.
