This is perhaps one of the most interesting books I've read in a while, and heres why. 1. It has a well thought out premise. A teen from our world goes to another and uses science and experiences gleaned from reading and game play to create and execute magic. 2. Not that many slow spots. It keeps moving with battles, magic and intriguing locales. 3. You follow one main story line while many diverse story lines are going on that you are unaware of. Things happen and you aren't foretold about them before they occur. The bad guys already have plots in progress which James(the hero) stumbles into and thus becomes the focal point of them. 4. Not too much descriptive content. Some books I've read have pages and pages of description. This one doesn't. When you read it, the author leaves most of the mundane details for your own imagination to fill in so you can just enjoy the story. 5. Perhaps the point I liked the most of this book is at the end of the first chapter, he's in the other world. In the second, he's fighting for his life as he begins learning to use the magic. I'd rather learn about him as he goes throguh the exciting story, than wade through several chapters of background. I hope this has helped many of you to decide in favor of this book. I'd reccomend it to anyone who loves, fantasy adventure. From what I gathered from his website, the author plans on at least seven more installment, the second of which should be out soon. Attention !
