Présentation de l'éditeur

Who Will Usher in Earth’s Final Days?
Are we living in the end times? Is it possible that the players depicted in the book of Revelation could be out in force today? And if they are, would you know how to recognize them?

In Agents of the Apocalypse, noted prophecy expert Dr. David Jeremiah does what no prophecy expert has done before. He explores the book of Revelation through the lens of its major players—the exiled, the martyrs, the elders, the victor, the king, the judge, the 144,000, the witnesses, the false prophet, and the beast.

One by one, Dr. Jeremiah delves into their individual personalities and motives, and the role that each plays in biblical prophecy. Then he provides readers with the critical clues and information needed to recognize their presence and power in the world today.

The stage is set, and the curtain is about to rise on Earth’s final act. Will you be ready?

4.0 étoiles sur 5 The Biblical Prophecy 13 octobre 2014

For the last twenty-years, there has been a slew of "apocalypse" or "end of times" fiction & non-fiction books being published. I have read a few of these books, including the Left Behind series. You don't have to be a believer to become interested in the book of Revelation, as I know a few non-believers that have read a few books on the "end of times."

Released last week to bookstores is Agents of the Apocalypse by Dr. David Jeremiah. It isn't his first book based on Revelation, but it is his first "end times" book that uses fictionalized stories "to drive the message of Revelation into the human heart." The author received assistance from Thomas Williams with the ten fictional stories - The Exile, The Martyrs, The 144,000, The Two Witnesses, The Dragon, The Beast from the Sea, The Beast from the Earth, The Victor, The King and The Judge. Each chapter is divided into two sections - the fictional story followed by "The Scripture Behind The Story."

With the use of fictional stories, the author is able to explain the main events that occurred in the Bible to believers and non-believers alike. This is also a great way to explain the meaning behind scriptures and tell the stories that contains the biblical prophecy.

With all the tabloids, cable news and news blogs, a person looking for real facts on the apocalypse will be really confused with all the misinterpretation of the Bible. Dr. David Jeremiah cleverly puts together an unique book that explains how the apocalypse was told in the scriptures. I have read a few other biblical prophecy non-fiction titles, but each book was based on the authors' point-of-views of what the apocalypse means to them. Overall, Agents of the Apocalypse is one of the better books written on the subject, which gives the truth to the readers.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Hope and Heartache 1 mars 2015

Alternating the chapters with the story then the Scripture to back it up was brilliant. I'd say that it captured my imagination but it was more than that - my heart was captured more than my imagination.

This book fills me with both hope and heartache. Hope that this life, no matter how bad it may get, is not the end. Heartache that so many of those I love are choosing this world instead of Jesus.

My mind cannot grasp eternity, especially for those whose names are not found in the Book of Life. The question now is, am I motivated enough to boldly share the Good News.

My one disappointment is that Dr. Jeremiah didn't write the chapters covering the end of the Millennial Reign when Satan is released once more.

This is a must-read for every Christ Follower.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a difficult time ... 15 décembre 2014

I had been eagerly waiting the publication of this book. Having followed DR. DAVID JEREMIAH for many years, I was looking forward to this reading. As I read the foreword I begin to understand his reason for writing in this particular style. Many Christians do not want just another book on the, "end times". They wanted something they can relate to. As I began reading I could visualize his characters as real people, associating them with people I know today. Beginning each chapter with a fictitious story that could or could not be true was pure genus. By applying the story line to the scripture reference at the end of each chapter, made for easier understanding of Revelation. As I witness to others now, I find it easier to explain the events of the end as they begin to unfold. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has a difficult time understanding future events from a Biblical perspective. This book puts everything in its proper order with no doubts. The last chapter brings it all home and encourages the reader to continue in their walk with the Lord. If you"re a non-Christian, this is a must read. Any questions you have about life after death will be answered. Any question you have about a GOD who will commit a lost soul to eternal fire for not accepting the gift of Life from HIS Son JESUS, will also be answered.

I loved the book. While the various fictional stories based on Revelation, and several other books in new and old testament, were not extremely in depth. The scriptures behind it the stories were. I believe this was a necessary trade off, since bible is missing so many of the specific details, and to limit the fictional filler parts of the story, to the absolute minimum, to get the story across. I also loved that its a new story after each chapter, and not trying to make a single story line for the the entire book. I would say that I have learned a enormous amount from my time reading this book and would highly recommend it.

Other than picking up his study Bible recently, this is the first book of Dr. D Jeremiah I've read, based on the recommendation of my cousin. I'm about to finish the book (likely today) and it's absolutely a pleasure to read. It's hard to put down because you become developed into the story. He lays it out as a story of what the "agent" may be like, and then using scripture, lends credit to how that story may actually play out. It definitely gives a new perspective of what may actually happen, or gives credit to a scenario that can truly play out. For anyone wanting to watch for the sign of the times, it's worth reading.
