Présentation de l'éditeur

Riley Tanner has a best friend, the best friend a girl could ask for. He’s supportive, loyal, honest, trustworthy, kind, and thoughtful. He’s also the biggest player in school.

Their relationship has always been easy and affectionate, but after Riley’s month long vacation, things become a little strange. She starts to look at him in ways that go way beyond the ‘friend zone’. Add in her best friend’s rival, and things become a whole lot more complicated.

This is the third book I have read of hers and she makes you feel like you are watching a movie play out in front of you as you are reading.
This book was well written and really portrayed the point out was trying to get across.
This was a sweet love story. I had a difficult time seeing how two people so young could love each other so passionately, but by the end of the story I was crying and believing that anything is possible. Riley and Clay's love is profound.
Would I recommend the book? Yes. I enjoyed it. Even though there were some parts I struggled to relate to with Riley's parents letting her do the things she did at her age I still thought the story was strong. I loved the relationship between her and Clay.

1.0 étoiles sur 5 the sad saga continued 16 novembre 2014

I didn't read any reviews for this book until I was 35% through it, where I thought I was at the end. To my surprise, the sad saga continued! I went back and reread the synopsis and some reviews, and now I know there is no point in continuing. So many things were wrong with the first part. In example: "Foul ball. You don't know much about football, do you?" Does the author? Cause I admit I don't follow high school ball, but there are no fouls in pro football. Then I decided she must mean soccer, and the only thing I know about that I learned from She's the Man. So where does this story take place?! Not in the same universe as reality, that's for sure. Who lets their teenage daughter sleep in the same bed as a grown man? Enough already.

Don't buy it.
Was this written by a teenager? That's exactly what it felt like while reading it. I read this because it was free. It was awful though. I felt like I was reading a 17 year old's diary of what she wished would happen. There were so many things wrong with this book, I don't even want to remember them all.
First, what decent parent will let their daughter and the 18 yr old boy next door have sleep overs?
The story line was irritating. She led both boys on repeatedly. More horrible parenting coming up: letting her go to Vegas with the neighbor boy and her friends, when Mom knows the daughter & neighbor are now dating. And it's not like they lived near Vegas, they lived 8 hours away. And then he wins over $100K, win they can't legally gamble? And her whole attitude when she was talking to his mother about the surgery. Guess what doll? You're 17! You're not old enough nor are you smart enough to make life altering decisions like this.
Seriously, there are sooo many more things wrong with this book. The best way to describe it is that you're reading a teenager's wish of what will happen to her. Not worth the read, even if it was free.

This is not a clean novel and I can do without the F-bombs. I couldn't finish it. It is full of teen permisquity and vulgar anatomy references. And I would like to know of one self respecting parent that would allow their 16/17 year old daughter to have weekly slumber parties with the 17-18 year old neighbor boy/best friend from childhood in the same bed with him in nothing but his boxers! If there is one they should be fired! This book was total crap and not worth my time.

It was corny, not believable, unrealistic, and too long. Everyone in the book was 'hot'. That became annoying but not as annoying as the main characters constantly telling each other (and inner monologue) how well they know each other. 911 takes hours to respond, spinal cords can be reattached, 17 year olds party in Vegas, mothers letting underage kids sleep together, underage drinking is condoned......it was a very poor read!!

2.0 étoiles sur 5 So much potential....wasted!! 17 décembre 2012

I rarely write reviews about books I've read. There is always something good and something not so good about almost, again almost every book you read. As with other reviews, some of the scenes and situations were over the top and hard to believe for a Junior and Senior in High School. Even though the story could have been so much better and could have went in so many other directions, I was appalled at the number of misspelled words, words left out of a sentence and other mistakes that should have been caught by any efficient proofreader or publishing company. Constantly having to go back and read sentences 2 or 3 times to try to figure out what was actually being said was very frustrating. If your going to put the time into writing something, make sure the finished print is well above what could be written by any junior high student. This was my first read from this author and I was totally disappointed.
