Présentation de l'éditeur

If you'd like to know what some of history's greatest thinkers and achievers can teach you about awakening your inner genius, and how to find, follow, and fulfill your journey to greatness, then you want to read this book today.

You can score in the highest ranges of IQ...and fail to succeed in life. You can work incredibly hard...and never realize your dreams. You can stumble across beautiful opportunities...only to watch them wither and die.

There's something else--something considered unfathomable by many--that lies behind greatness. And in Awakening Your Inner Genius, you're going to be taken on an adventure to discover what that is, and how you can use it to transform your life.

You see, genius is a path, not a gift. Studies of history's greatest geniuses have shown that there is a "genius code," if you will. A combination of very specific traits that we can develop in ourselves, and thus, operate at a genius level.

In this book, you're going to learn things like...
  • Why IQ, opportunities, and working toward that magical goal of 10,000 hours don't comprise the whole story of great achievers, and what else is needed to walk in the footsteps of our greatest geniuses.
  • How to view and deal with the world as Leonardo da Vinci did, and embrace the one trait that most accounted for his incredible genius and talents.
  • Lessons from Nikola Tesla on why imagination is so vital to awakening your inner genius, and insights into the real "secret" to creativity, as explained by people like Jobs, Picasso, Dali, and Twain.
  • How Thomas Edison was able to go from a mischievous academically challenged kid to the world's most successful inventor, and how you too can formulate and realize goals like he did.
  • The secret to Alexander the Great's superhuman drive and work ethic, and how you can inspire yourself to pursue your own goals and dreams with the same vigor and tenacity.
  • What geniuses like Elizabeth I can teach you about the importance of individualism in your journey to greatness, and how to strengthen your will to break away from conventions, ignore the naysayers, and stay true to your vision and principles.
  • How Hippocrates' epic quest to reform medicine in ancient Greece was fueled by his unparalleled judgment, and how you too can sharpen your ability to make the right decisions at the right times and thus move closer to your dreams, one good call at a time.
  • And much, much more...
Imagine for a moment how this could change your life.

If you dream of escaping the nine-to-five and striking out on your own, imagine if you knew with certainty that you would succeed.

If you don't like where some aspect of humanity is going, imagine if you could do something amazing about it.

If you have a stubborn desire to reach out into our culture and write "I was here," imagine if nothing could stop you.

So, is the journey to genius right for you? Well, ask yourself the following questions.

Who are you, really, and what are you really capable of?

What is your calling, and what might happen in the world if you found out?

If these questions ignite a spark of curiosity in you, then empower yourself to explore their meaning and magnitude.

Read this book today and discover what it really takes to find and follow your bliss, and how to use the lessons passed down to us by some of history's greatest geniuses to systematically rise to top of your fields, activities, and endeavors.

Biographie de l'auteur

Sean Patrick is a dad, husband, Floridian, author, entrepreneur, slightly off-kilter, hopelessly optimistic, 28-year-old that’s obsessed with creation, marketing, storytelling, fitness, and educating. Founder of Oculus Publishers, Patrick is on a mission to enlighten, entertain, and inspire people through beautiful stories and ideas. When not writing or building something, you can usually find him lifting heavy things in the gym, trying to make a dent in his never-ending “to-read” list, acting like a fool to make his son laugh…and writing in the third person. Wink, wink.

Genius, wise, hero, martyr, emancipator, outlier, call it how you want. We all want to know how they've done it. This book is a step forward into deconstructing this remarkable type of human being. Awakening Your Inner Genius is eye opening in many ways into understanding the lives and works of the most remarkable geniuses in history.

About the book:
The book is a well organised walkthrough history and its main protagonists, leaders, philosophers, scientists, inventors and writers who shaped the destiny of mankind. These remarkable people so-called geniuses are the ones we owe everything we have now, technology, medicine, art, freedom, etc. It is definitely a good guide to dive into understanding how these remarkable people were born, raised and how they lead their lives into challenging society and human ability.

Things I liked about the book:
-Demystifies genius and tries to explain it from a psychological and sociological standpoint (Patrick goes one step ahead Malcolm Gladwell's explanation of an Outlier)
-Laser guided research of facts about the lives of history's geniuses (a bunch of eyeopening facts you've never had thought about)
-Hard-core collection of inspiring quotes (probably the book I've done more highlights on)
-The Kindle book listing price $2.99 (way below its real worth value)
-Definitely a good reference guide

Even if you are not trying to find your inner genius, this book is a great read. It tells the stories of several geniuses who's contributions affect our world every day. More importantly he describes WHY. What these individuals specific traits were that made them geniuses and how to incorporate these traits into your everyday life, and why you should. I am better for reading this book, you can be better too. We all have room for improvement. This book tells you how.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Much better than I anticipated. I would recommend to anyone who needs a little nudge to get going. The stories Sean picks are inspirational and go to show you that you just red to have the will to move forward with whatever you want to do with your life. Yes there will be speed bumps to slow you down but nothing worth while ever is easy. Looking at the examples if they could persevere so can anyone else. Thank you for this wonderful book Sean. Look for forward to reading more of your works.

Are you capable of greatness?
Would you dare to live an extraordinary life?
Is it really possible to live out your deepest dreams?
"Awakening Your Inner Genius" considers the concrete examples of many people who, by their actions and legacies, have more than faced up to these questions, answering them with a resounding, "Yes!"

I just finished reading the Kindle version of this excellent book upon the recommendation of an inspiring acquaintance that I met at a barbecue recently. It is not often enough that I have the pleasure of finding such fluidly and clearly articulated intellectual stimulation as I did in Sean Patrick's words.

Patrick's passion for having the integrity to remain true to oneself and thus to create an extraordinary life is eloquently and invitingly expressed in ardent, yet amiable style that exemplifies the unselfishness of the true leader and scholar - the autodidact - one who has learned to commit him / herself to the discipline of finding and imparting true wisdom, the kind of knowledge that when applied generates not only greatness in oneself but also the yearning to nurture the seeds of genius in others. This is an easy read, with the only real obstacle presented in its challenge to you to live out your soul's dream - to really live.

If there are any shortcuts to greatness, the first of them certainly is to be true to yourself, a second would be in collaborating with others whose genius and tenacity you admire and respect. A third shortcut may be found in reading about such people and learning from the lessons they have demonstrated with their lives.

A wise proverb states: "Buy wisdom and sell it not."
In the light of that wisdom, and its applicability to "Awakening Your Inner Genius," I recommend this wonderful book to all who dare to dream that their gifts really do matter and that they were not made to live mundane lives.

I had trouble putting this book down and it caused me to lose a sleep on the nights that I did read it. This is a must have for ANYONE lacking that last, little bit of drive to achieve greater goals and overcome obstacles.

If you're a history buff this is right up your alley. I, for one am not and was quite ashamed of myself for not knowing more about the some of the people in the book. Sean takes you on a ride with some of the greatest thinkers of all time and goes through their thought processes. What drove them. What motivated them. In their darkest moments what compelled them to move forward instead of just throwing in the proverbial towel.

For the past few months I've been struggling with the idea of pursuing some other endeavors so I decided to order a few books. I ordered two books from Amazon and received them on the same day. "Awakening Your Inner Genius" and "The Power of Now". Having some familiarity with the author I chose to read the former first. I am really struggling to get through "The Power of Now". For me it just seems like "Awakening Your Inner Genius" has the given me that clear, concise blueprint I was looking for to help me see and attain long term goals.
