Valuable Lessons To Be Learned Behind Ayrton Senna's Inspirational Life Story

Ayrton Senna - The Inspirational Life Story Of Ayrton Senna, The Greatest Formula One Driver Ever Lived

Nearly twenty years after his untimely death, legendary race car driver Ayrton Senna continues to serve as an inspiration to new generations of race car drivers and other athletes, both in his home country of Brazil and overseas. German race car driver Sebastian Vettel of the Austrian Red Bull Racing team credited Senna as his inspiration when he won his third successive F1 world championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix on November 2012, making him the youngest driver to achieve this feat in the history of Formula One racing. Brazilian triathlete Reinaldo Colucci also cited Senna as an inspiration in his bid to become the country’s first triathlete to finish in the top 10 at the men’s triathlon in the 2012 Olympics.

But who was Ayrton Senna and what was his significance to his chosen sport?

Here is a preview of what you will learn in this book:

* The up's and down's in Ayrton Senna's Life.

* Senna's success in his world championship career.

* Senna's climb to the top of the world stage.

* The record setting years.

* An untimely accident that claimed the life of the legend.

* Ayrton Senna is Brazil's National Hero.

* Legacy of Ayrton Senna.

* And much much more...

Comments from other readers

"This is a great read that summarizes all the glory Senna was able to achieve with his limited years in the F1 world stage. I am sure if he was alive today, he would still be one of the top contenders. A must read for everyone, F1 fans or otherwise." - Lance Griffith (Montreal, Canada)

"Many argues that Michael Schumacher is a better driver than Senna, I guess we can never proof it one way or another. But for me Senna was the best and will always be. Not only was he fast on track, his off-the-track personality was one that is to be admired. Imagine donating most of what you earn to a good cause, then the next day get right back at it to climb higher and achieve more. I am so glad that Mr. Watson wrote this book on Senna. Thank you so much for such an amazing book." - Nathaniel Mendez (Austin, USA)

"I truly enjoyed this book. Everyone has heard about Senna's tragic accident, but how much do we know about this F1 legend beyond that? Reading about this great man that is Ayrton Senna was extremely inspirational for me. His never-ending quest to achieve more was the biggest lesson for me, I will try my best to live by that from now on." - Dominic Garza (New Jersey, USA)

Ayrton Senna is known across the globe, at least to other racers, as one of the most inspirational racers to have ever lived. It's been 20 years since his death, but every racer still looks up to him, though not many other people do. Senna had always had a passion for racing so it's no surprise that he was a fit for the racing career, though it was so impractical as a career that many people didn't think he would survive off of the money. Although his racing career was short, he won three F1 championships and was a great man outside of the race track as well. He was very active in charities. Before his death, he talked to his sister about making his own charity, but he couldn't see that wish come true in life. His sister went on to start the charity in honor of him. Even when his racing rivalries where down, he would always help them rather than take the victories for himself, whether it was on or off the tracks.

Ayrton Senna was born in San Paolo to a wealthy family but saw the slums and poverty of his town. He was born to race and did so with great success up until his death. He understood engines and cars and that made him a delight to work with for the crews. He was also a man who spent his own money in silence to help those in the slums of his hometown. He also was vocal about driver safety and worked to make changes to improve driver safety.

What makes Ayrton Senna a perfect role model or inspiration is that he did all these good works without looking for public recognition. He did it quietly, behind the scenes. As a parent and a teaching assistant I am always looking for these type of books to give to classes to read, This would interest the boys and give them something to strive to achieve, the good deeds. This is great for the upper elementary and junior high grades, depending on reading levels. It would make a great biography paper. I am glad I found this over our school break so that I have it when we start back to school.

I confess I’m not a F1 racing fan and in consequence I had never heard of Ayrton Senna. But I still picked up this book to read and I don’t regret it.
For one, it was nice to know that unlike today’s commercialized, overexposed, revealed lifestyle where each and every movement of an individual is recorded it was nice to read about someone who didn’t seek publicity for his charitable work. It was also nice to know that Senna was not only a Formula 1driver but also gave thought to the safety of the game and the participants. It was unfortunate that the safety norms he initiated could not be applied to him. It is almost ironic that he died due to the game’s unsafe measures.
It’s these kinds of details that endear an individual to others and it is this information that makes me want to read about an individual whose name I had heard for the first time. The title of the book has been completely justified by the author by interlacing beautifully the professional and personal life of a great individual.

I'm a fan of sports - the competition, the drama and most importantly, the athletes. I'm not the biggest racing fan, but I heard about Ayrton Senna on Bleacher Report, so I decided to read up about him. It's a rare combination when you come across a stellar athlete who's a great person. Gregory Watson, the author, chronicals Senna's life, his ups and downs, his lifelong passion for racing until his untimely death in this e-book. The book depicts Senna as an altruistic man, who gave of himself without looking for fanfare while becoming the greatest F1 Racer ever! That's a lesson in and of itself to athletes of all sports - be great and serve your fellow man. Senna, widely considered a Brazilian hero, laid a model for future athletes to do good deeds while achieving success. A great model! I recommend this book for anyone looking for an inspirational story of a great athlete.

I did not know much about Ayrton Senna previous to this book and had only heard his name through passing. I enjoyed reading this book and found it to be very informative. The book talks briefly about who Senna was and then it delves into his successful career as a race car driver. This man was a true success and also inspirational.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to learn more about Senna as a person or learn about his career and career wins.

Great book and a must read!!
