I've always heard good things about ayurveda but never really got a chance to study deep into it until I found this book. I am inspired by how foods can served as medicine to treat different health concerns so that we don't have to visit the doctors! For example, from time to time, I have constipation and I suffer from eczema these years. I am glad to see some natural remedies that can help treat my concerns.

Besides, the recipes recommended in this book are all new and refreshing ideas to me. I love the recipes like "Almond Meal" and "Pitta Breakfast".

Last but not least, James brings up the topic that ayurveda is not just about food. Rather, it is also about living a holistic lifestyle as well. For example, besides paying attention to what we eat, we should also pay attention to the quality of our sleep, having a proper amount of exercises, and how to take care of our emotions to relieve stress.

Overall, I think James really has done a great job by introducing the concept of ayurveda to a newbie like me. This book is highly recommended;)

This book is a complete package of what Ayurveda is all about. It is well written and concisely discussed what Ayurveda is, its components and how does it work to have a balanced life and health.

Every chapter of this book provided helpful information about Ayurvedic wellness and health. What I like so much about this book is that it did not focus on one specific topic but talked also of the benefits of this ancient medical tradition to every aspects of our lives life like emotional and sexual health, weight etc. It also gave some natural remedies for cough, constipation, skin problems etc. and great recipes.

This book has tackled every possible subject I would like to know about Ayurveda. It is perfect for readers or individuals who are searching for a well balanced life and health. Highly recommended!

OK I have heard a lot about this wellness concept including homeostasis and diet. Particularly the information offered on the three Doshas clearly explains the more intricate concepts of the approach. The book had me analyzing my physique as well as tendency and reaction to stress in order to determine best diet and ongoing health management plan. This book is more than an introduction to the ayurvedic concepts but is a holistic health management plan.

You really won't find this information readily available or discussed in western medicine. If you are interested in homeostasis, total mind, body, and spirit holistic health, then I recommend this book highly.

I have read this term very first time “Ayurveda” but its description is not new to me. I totally rely on in a strong diet and a busy life. So always in search of good books on these specific topics so when I watch this book I was fascinated to read it. As I mentioned I have not gotten off “Ayurveda” before this book.
The author certainly provided the best information about Ayurveda and its paybacks like assisting to eliminate the strain and nervousness and more in working with your physique to guarantee that you are able to improved attention for yourself. The workouts at the end part with images are certainly great. It is definitely a very good book and it is need of time as well for everyone.

This book contains a lot of terminology that was at first very new to me, but the author has done an excellent job explaining everything thoroughly and in my opinion this book is excellent for beginners. Really liked it and recommend it to people, who are into this field. It embraces the idea that you know your body better than anyone, so who better to be the doctor than you! There is also an emphasis of using exercise and healthy recipes as your medicine.
