Présentation de l'éditeur
Since leaving office in 2007, the empire of Tony Blair has grown exponentially. As a businessman he has been unprecedentedly successful for a former public servant, with a large property portfolio and an estimated GBP80 million of earnings accrued in just a few short years. But how has he managed to achieve this? Being an ex-Prime Minister comes with certain advantages, and besides his excellent state pension and twenty-four-hour security team, Blair enjoys the best contacts that money can buy - as do those willing to pay him for access to those contacts. Consequently, Tony Blair Associates' clients can be found around the world, and include the controversial presidents of Kazakhstan and Burma. There is also Blair's role as special envoy in the Middle East. While his record as a peacemaker is in doubt, the position has brought him into contact with a variety of oil-rich potentates in the region who now number among his most profitable clients. Blair Inc.: The Man behind the Mask takes a close look at the complex financial structures in Blair's world. From the many layers of tax liability to the multiple conflicts of interest produced by his increasing web of relationships, this book exposes the private dealings of this very public figure.

I will quote Blair himself. "Mine is the first generation able to contemplate the possibility that we may lead our entire lives without going to war or sending our children to war." The book did not go deep enough into the character of the man. Totally amoral and greedy. All one needs to know about him is that he is a friend of G W Bush and is a regular visitor to his ranch. Not Quite all. He also went to war to improve his future financial prospects in the arab world.
A badly written book, don't buy it

A terrible book. The authors personal dislike for tony Blair and anything or one involved with him or family clearly shows. Repetitive about issues on property, bad taste showing photos of Blairs property portfolio . Says it's not an issue someone having wealth or propert investments, then why show and list them all. Blair brought Britain back to life... He should be remembered for his achievements. We have just rembered the 8000 who were slaughtered in Bosnia because no one in the west reacted quickly enough. Blair took action over Iraq , history may judge the result of the outcome. Rember your Churchill and decisions he made for world war 1. Do you still haunt his memory for this?

It is easy to believe that behind the mask,as described in the book Tony is downright greedy and has deliberately if not wilfully used his now former ambassadorial position to seek wealth at the expense of doing a good job first and foremost....I mean how much money do you need, especially a man of his political ilk?...As for Iraq 2 he disappointed so many of us...but I still remain a fan...he largely did a mighty good job for Britain when in office, and the British monarchy would certainly not be held in the good standing it is today without Tony's wisdom and yes moral integrity at a very difficult time...this also goes for the Irish peace process...I went to school in Northern Ireland and I deeply acclaim his statesmanship on this very difficult subject...all of Ireland owes him a great debt...I say to the real Tony behind the mask...you have surely made enough money in biz. mate, now please turn your prodigious abilities to global statesmanship in which you are utterly qualified to achieve so much good. good on you Tony, despite the book which I was grateful to read I remain yours,a sincere fan,Jeremy Rush.
