Description du produit

Disc 3 has the prime content, and is pretty much the main item. One thing to note is that Bruce always has something to say in his lyrics. The last three albums have been the most overtly occult items, with heavy links to Aleister Crowley very evident in his work.
My opinion is that this is kind of a Diary, or "journal" entry of Bruce's solo career right with a snippet from SAMSON( pre-Maiden) to the Solo together with Maiden efforts.
You could also view the 3rd disc as what you buy with discs 1 and 2 as the bonus discs, but overall this set REALLY needs a producer since the content is great ( Janick is very good despite what people say, even if he might not rank as highly as Roy Z or Adrian Smith ).
DVD1: First concert has clean audio in PCM Dolby, and the duration is 90 minutes, not 70 as listed. Janick is very flashy, and he has more in the way of Jimi Hendrix techniques than anything else. However, as dodgy as the video is on this concert, you can see on disc 3 that an edit has an ultra clear show of the concert.
The Second Concert on disc 1 has Good Audio, and is more of a concept video since it was shot for a Japanese 4 cut EP. Due to the credits referring to a "Digitizer", I do suspect that the raw footage is clean, and some idiot thought that the strung out and stoned look would work. The "Digitizer" seems to have made the footage look dirty, and I hope that is the case since this is supposed to be a pro-shot show, as is the first concert.Time for this show is 55 minutes, not 60 as stated on the pack.
DVD 2; Scream for me Sao Paolo; I like Bruce's Sacred Cowboys short, quite a good concept. Bruce actually acknowledged that this is recorded. It shows evidence of line production with dissolves and cross fades. It is exactly 60 minutes.
ROY Z and Adrian can be seen in all their brilliance on this disc.
DVD 3; The promo Videos fall into two classes, some done by the first director and Bruce, and the ones done by Julian Doyle.
The first lot are very clear evidence how a lack of clear video vision can destroy an otherwise good video clip. Doyle's work is clear and masterful.
BICEPS OF STEEL: the SAMSON masterpiece. A Great interview with Bruce about the SAMSON film.
TYRANNY OF SOULS: A very Good Interview with Bruce, probably the best I have ever seen.
DVD PACK OVERALL: Great Cover Design. The Insert booklet is just as good. The Insert slots for the additional two discs are the best and most secure I have seen, very good idea. The BIG almost colossal failing is that the PCM audio is just okay, and the Video needs cleaning up. I put the discs on 5.1 audio, and only one channel. Switch to 2 channel Dolby, and front left, middle and back right work. As you can learn from the interviews on disc 3, Bruces Failure to pick a Good Producer ( or a Producer at all, since this pack has NO producer credit at all) will come close to killing a project.
I did, that being said, enjoy the discs, and if they hire a producer to clean up video, remix the sound, then this set would be WAY more than what it currently is now.

The second live-in-concert performance offered up on Disc 1 was filmed over two sweaty back-to-back dates during the Skunkworks Tour in Pamplona and Gerona, Spain on May 31st and June 1st 1996. Bruce was fronting a new young band, with a new name, and was joined on stage by Alex Dickson (Guitars), Chris Dale (Bass) and a certain infamous Italian drummer, Alessandro Elena. Originally created for a four track video EP release in Japan, this is the hour long Skunkworks concert in full, for the very first time.

DVD Disc 2 keeps the live-in-concert experience alive with rare footage of Bruce performing in Sao Paulo, 1999 during the Chemical Wedding World Tour. Almost two hours in length, 'Scream For Me Brazil' represents Bruce's last outing as a true solo artist before rejoining the ranks of Maiden shortly afterwards. No official film recording was permitted although this film taken from the crowd screen feeds features highlights of the show which later become a live album of the same name. With a new heavier line-up made up of long time song writing partner Roy Z (Guitar), old Maiden partner Adrian Smith and rhythm section of Dave Ingraham (Drums) and Eddie Casillas (Bass), this 'bootleg' documents Bruce at his most intense.

The Tyranny Of Souls interview was originally filmed as a general interview for press purposes. This is a track by track breakdown of the concept behind the songs on the Tyranny Of Souls album, providing more of an in-depth look at the writing methods that Bruce has formed with long time wiring partner Roy Z.
Samson "Biceps Of Steel" -- (Previously available as a DVD-single):
Bruce made his video debut fronting Samson in this rather curious adaptation of the story of Samson and Delilah, filmed at the Rainbow Theatre, London. Filmed and directed by Julien Temple who perhaps was more famous for the Sex Pistols movie - 'The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle', this 15 minute featurette was distributed through-out cinemas as a support feature to Hazel O' Connors 'Breaking Glass' in 1980.
