Présentation de l'éditeur

“The fastest way to lower your golf scores is to improve your putting.”

Wouldn’t you love to lower your average score by five shots this season, with minimal effort? Sharpening your putting skill is the quickest and easiest way to lower your scores and enhance your enjoyment of the great game of golf.

The secret to lower scoring is to sink more putts of eight feet or less while consistently lagging long putts close to the hole to avoid three putting. The Bulletproof Putting System teaches you to do exactly that, in five easy lessons.

Written for the recreational golfer who has limited practice time and no desire to become a slave to the game, Bulletproof Putting in Five Easy Lessons will help you
•Read greens more accurately and visualize the correct roll paths for your putts
•Make a dependable putting stroke that hits the ball where you aim
•Ingrain your bulletproof pre-shot and in-shot routines to increase confidence
•Master the four types of putts: slam dunk, drillable, drainable, and lag
•Utilize precious practice and warm up time to your best advantage.

Bulletproof Putting in Five Easy Lessons is written in an approachable style by Michael McTeigue, former Northern California PGA Teacher of the Year and author of the popular full-swing instruction classic, The Keys to the Effortless Golf Swing. Michael conducted thousands of golf lessons as a PGA professional at Bel Air Country Club, Riveria Country Club, and Palos Verdes Golf Club in California. 5.0 étoiles sur 5 Great New Book on How to Putt 10 octobre 2014
Par MB - Publié sur Amazon.com
This highly readable, well-organized book is a worthy companion to the author's book on the full swing, "The Keys to the Effortless Golf Swing," which has hundreds of enthusiastic reviews on Amazon. What I like most about the new book is that it provides the golfer with a solid method for sinking two- to eight-foot putts that are inside the hole--what the author calls "drillable" putts. These are the putts you want to make to lower your score right now. This and good advice on developing a solid, repeatable pre-shot putting routine. The book also challenges the reader (in a good way) to practice putting, which the "weekend golfer" (including, certainly, this reviewer) rarely has time or patience for. You will want to practice putting after reading this book. I became a better putter almost overnight after incorporating the "pendulum" stroke recommended here. This book is A++.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Short yet effective book - as good as his last one 26 mai 2015

A short golf instruction book containing five relatively simple lessons for improving your putting. As in his other book, The Keys to the Effortless Golf Swing, Michael McTeigue lays out some basic tenets for alignment and creating a repeatable "bulletproof" putting stroke. He also encourages a pre-putt routine and effective green reading. There are many superb ideas covered that will make you more thoroughly judge and execute putts. One of the advantages to McTeigue's books is that there is not much fluff, his lessons are simply explained without excess words and pages, and in some cases chapters. This is a book that should be referenced a few times during your season to ensure you have the suggestions ingrained.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 A truly great golf instruction book 19 avril 2016

I've never thanked an author before, but I felt moved to on this occasion. I took 19 years off golf while my kids grew up, and returned to it 2 years back, re-commencing on a 19 hcp. I'd been treading water on an average 87-90 strokes per round for about 12 months. A month back, I bought Bulletproof Putting and devoured it in one sitting. Light bulb moments throughout. I worked on its ideas for a week, then went out and shot 81. I kid you not. Eighty-one!! I'm a lawyer with absolutely no artistic DNA or bone in my body, yet even I could understand (and, thus, apply) the way the author describes the left brain / right brain (or the analysis / imagination) interaction. I cannot thank the golf gods enough for putting this book in my lap. Putting finally makes sense. I even enjoy all of my practice green time!

Then, on the off-chance that the same bloke could help with my swing, I bought The Effortless Golf Swing. Unbelievably good work! The daily double!! Best since Mr Hogan's great work, in my opinion, and better than even that classic in the distillation and precision of detail.

So, I worked on ITS ideas for a week, then went out and shot 77. Seriously. Not a word of a lie.

Michael McTeigue is a teaching guru. Harvey Penick would be proud.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 I reduced my handicap index by 3-to-4 points using this book 18 juillet 2016

I have written this review because this book really helped me reduce the number of putts I have in a round and it boosted my confidence. Putting has been the weakest part of my game for two reasons: I didn’t have a stroke I could depend on and I didn’t practice putting enough.

I had a lot of success with Michael McTeigue’s “The Keys to the Effortless Golf Swing,” so I figured his book “Bulletproof Putting” could help me develop a better and more consistent putting stroke, and it did!! I would miss a lot of 2-5 foot putts which was so exasperating because they should have been pars and now they are bogeys! After missing a couple of these I would be so nervous that I would miss the next 3-5 footer. I didn’t have very many good days of putting.

I tried the Bulletproof Putting method where you use the shoulders in a rocking motion as the engine of the stroke, while resting my elbows on the side of my torso. When practicing over a yardstick I could see my stroke was following a consistent back and through stroke. It took a while to get used to rocking my shoulders as the main mechanism for the stroke. I was an arms with stiff wrists putter. But once I got the feel and my distances worked out by how far to bring the putter back on the backstroke, I was amazed at how many putts I began making from the 3-5 foot range!! I dropped my index handicap down from an 8-9 to 5-6. Just watch any professional tournament, the guy or gal who is making a lot of putts that week typically wins the championship.

I wish Michael would write a short game book for pitching and chipping! Give this book a try you will not be disappointed. I hope this review helps you on your journey to better golf!

I am a fan of Michael McTeigue's other book "The Effortless Golf Swing". This book is just as good and easy to understand. Written concisely and is easy to understand. The author provides a very easy way to putt that takes away the small, "twitchy" muscles and relies on the large muscles to make a repeatable putting stroke. Excellent information on how to read greens as well. It is so refreshing to read instructional books where the author gets straight to the point and you don't have to wade through pages filler!
