Présentation de l'éditeur

Krista has settled into her new job in L.A. gloriously, moving up the ladder and earning a great reputation for herself. But since she and Sean parted ways, she has felt like half a person; a shell of the girl she was when she left San Francisco. It isn’t until her job takes her back to San Francisco that she sees him again, the one that got away. It’s like looking into her soul as she meets those startling green eyes again. She realizes, without a doubt, that she still loves him as much as she ever did.

Sean has spent the last couple years working like a demon, achieving and reaching for the stars, but with nothing to look forward to. He let his salvation walk away, and let his own fears and problems keep him from going after her. When he meets her again he is plagued with his love for her, thinking that she has moved on. When he finds out she still loves him, he decides to make matters right, and finally go after her.

It isn’t until the two are working together again that they realize true love is a winding road that comes at a cost. Sean and Krista will not only struggle with trust and obstacles to be together, they must face the landscape of the company they now work for, an establishment that promotes men over women, and that threatens to pigeonhole Krista from the get-go. It will take the two learning to fight together again to overcome and triumph. True love isn't easy, but when you earn it, it'll last forever.

Reviewer's note: I give this series AS A WHOLE 4*. I love Krista & Sean, I just didn't feel this book lived up to the other two.

I was really, REALLY upset with the cliffhanger at the end of book 2, but I knew I had to follow the series to its conclusion... or is that confusion? There are going to be SPOILERS but without details, if that matters to you.

Two years**** have passed since Krista walked out of Sean's life, and he has handled everything in the worst ways possible. And he continues to do so. I was P*SSED at Sean for a good bit of the book. Fortunately, so was Krista, proving that she is still strong, capable, and unwilling to put up with his crap.

***** Yes - two years. I appreciated not having to experience all the angst & misery from the beginning of their separation, but I HATE that it seriously took two years. And time continues to pass VERY quickly in this book. Months are skipped over, and then suddenly three days seem to take up half the book, then more months are skipped over. Maybe it won't bother you, but I found it really annoying.

If I try to explain the plot, there have to be detailed spoilers, because that's just the way the book rolls. I don't really like to do detailed spoilers.

In this book:
Things happen. Krista gets (understandably) upset, but manages to get past it. Sean undergoes a serious (and annoying) personality change. Sean has an epiphany and BOOM! HEA. (After three books, did you REALLY not see the HEA coming?)

I feel like I *did* understand what she was going for with Sean, but I do NOT think it was pulled off well. Maybe if we had had more insight from his POV, maybe if he had been able to take his head out of his a** and look around once in a while... I don't know. One of the things that got me hooked on these two and their story was their ability to communicate, and it was sorely missing in this volume.
I highlighted the scenes where Krista rips Sean a new one because I love how much she stands up for herself and what she deserves from him.

The ending was kind of heavy handed by the author to get them their HEA, and as much as I enjoyed it I still felt like it was lacking. Maybe because of how far ahead the epilogue jumps, I'm not sure. I wanted to see more of Sean changing, rather than skipping ahead to where he had already changed. Breene has come up with some wonderful, adorable, passionate moments, and I just don't feel like this was the best ending she could have given them.

Damn! Its about freakin time. I waited for this ending in the last book. Lots of unsure, lots of fear, and lots of its about freakin time. I really enjoyed this series. It was a great start with the free ebook #1 in the series.

I skipped the book before this and was very glad I did as this was heavily packed with emotions and events and I honestly don't think I needed the angst of the middle book. I love this author but felt the books could have been condensed into just the two as we are filled with lots of information about periphery things that made it hard to continue reading at times.

In saying this the manipulation of words by this writer is lovely to watch unfold. I thoroughly enjoyed the Sean and Krista relationship and was glad they got their happy ending. Their romance had an underlying sense of normality or perhaps reality that kept us interested.

Thank you Lord! My Krista is back.

I was somewhat disappointed when reading Overcoming Fear in terms of wit and the fun factor, but yay it is back in Butterflies in Honey.

The story lived up to what was loved in Lost and Found, but with more body and spunk. Kudos to Breene, you are officially a keeper.

Keep them coming.

So enjoyed the journey to true love with Sean and Krista. Some really big issues covered. Krista is starting life on a new place after college and an abusive relationship. Enter Sean who sees her potential and razor sharp wit. He helps pull her into the limelight of their company, while falling in love. They have an intense relationship, but Sean had emotional scars of his own. This is the third book in the series. These two characters do a lot of growing and maturing over the years covered here. Just a wonderful ending. Not 'fairy tale', but very real and very good. Was worth all the sleep I lost finishing the book!
