Présentation de l'éditeur
Linda recalls typing furiously in her personal shorthand as her mother began talking, seeming to fall into a trance reliving her personal and professional history. The interview flowed on its own so freely Linda didn't have to pause typing to ask more than a few questions. Within the historic ambiance which Marge described in this interview the Sloppy Joe sandwich was originated in the 50's in The Malt Shop Bakery and Bus Depot in Florence, Colorado. Margie's bakery story, COAL & COCA-COLA proves the origin or that juicy sandwich and more.

APOLOGY from KINDLE GLOW BOOKS: This story is engrossing enough to feel too short even with the photo essay. The original 8 VH's were written for the official local newspaper in the late 1990's and early 2000's and were too long for that venue, but were allowed significant extra column space because they were special types of offerings [only a few photos were in those publications].
However, the main story content in these Visceral Histories is longer than many Kindle short stories, and the VH's expand that length with photo collections and the Visceral History concept definition. In the five mining stories an extensive historic capture of related events is also included. Due to the unique content of these stories and photos, KINDLE GLOW BOOKS feels that these titles give more than a fair value for the price. If one story leaves a reader wanting, there are 7 additional VH's in this collection to go to for more!
A 3 Star review complimented this story then rated it poorly noting that 50% of the content was advertisements for other books. That is true of "Coal & Coca-Cola" and "We Work All our Lives and What do we get?"... if you don't count the essay on the Visceral History definition and code in that percentage, which we believe belongs with the content and enhances it.
The rest of the appendix content contains a biography, author photo, title page, dedication, hyperlinked list of books by the author sorted into categories, and book covers of a few other books by this author. The publisher believes that this appendix material can be helpful, and would appreciate it in books they read, because if a book feels like it ends too soon, we like to know where to go for more.
For those who prefer the story without these extras, a special abridged edition of Coal & Coca-Cola [with photos but minus appendices] is available: ASIN: B00AR63D7O.
