Présentation de l'éditeur

Julie Brannagh's sexy, charming Love and Football series continues …

Star sports reporter Cameron Ondine has one firm rule: she does not date football players. Ever. She tangled with one years ago, and it did not end well. Been there, done that.

But when Cameron comes face-to-face with the very man who shattered her heart—on camera, no less—her world is upended for a second time by recklessly handsome Seattle Shark Zach Anderson.

Zach has never been able to forget the gorgeous blonde who stole his breath away when he was still just a rookie. They've managed to give each other a wide berth for years, but when their jobs suddenly bring them together again and again, he knows he has to face his past once and for all.

Because as they spend more time together, he becomes less focused on the action on the field and more concerned with catching Cameron.

Biographie de l'auteur

Julie Brannagh has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She lives in a small town near Seattle, where she once served as a city council member and owned a yarn shop. She shares her home with a wonderful husband, two uncivilized Maine Coons, and a rambunctious chocolate Lab. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, or armchair-quarterbacking her favorite NFL team from the comfort of the family room couch. Julie is a Golden Heart® finalist and the author of contemporary sports romances.

This is another win, win, win for Julie Brannagh. This is your classic love story of two people from opposite sides of the track who has family that doesn't approve of their union so they lie and drive a wedge between the two lovers. Of course those that oppose totally forget that true love conquers all and fate will find a way to reunite the heartbroken lovers. I really loved this story between Zach and Cameron and I know you will too.

Oh, one side note to the writer and her editor: please remember your characters names. It's not fair for you start calling grandma Francesca and then two paragraphs later, calling her Francine only to go back to calling her Francesca! Make up your mind already! IJS

A real cute story about Zack, pro football player for Seattle Sharks and Cameron a football commentator, who it seems to have known each other 10 ears ago in Las Vegas where after knowing each other for only 6 hours got married--both very hammered at the time. Now in today, he is giving Cameron an interview, but her history with this hunk gets in the way and completely blindsides him about women....the many he seems to attract and sleep with....throws out terms about aging and not putting his all into his football career. He storms off the set. She's in big trouble so her superiors penalize her with the task of attending football camp as a person from the media. What a wild story with Zack of course being there and them banging into each other on a daily basis and finally work things out between them the story is hilarious, serious, and just a riot! You must read!!

So, this is my first time reading A Love and Football novel by Julie Brannagh. I do have have own A Love and Football novel, I just haven't gotten to it. However, I plan to rectify the situation (one day). That's okay, because I read Catching Cameron yesterday. I have to say that I did enjoyed the story. Whats not to love I mean the hero is a football player, who doesn't love a football player?

Anyway, Catching Cameron is a second chance love stories. I give up saying that they are my least favorite trope, because every time I find a new one I find myself enjoying the story. Back to my thoughts. Ten years ago Cameron Ondine and Zach Anderson got married in Vegas. Then Zach basically annual the marriage and never gave a reason why. So, Cameron has been holding a grudge on Zach. Ten years is along time to hold a grudge. They see each other again and basically Cameron just goes off on him in an unprofessional way. She ends up on assignment at the Sharks training camp. While there Cameron and Zach resolve what happen ten years ago and try to rectify the huge misunderstanding that ensued.

I personally liked the story, because it's more than just a second chance love story. You have a meddling father who wants his daughter to marry someone like him and bring more power to family. While Cameron just wants to live her life on her terms. Then you have two people that blame each other for what happen in Vegas, and believed it was the other persons fault. However, when they get reacquainted they realize that there was more that played into the situation.

Overall, I enjoyed the two characters, because they had grown up since there first attempt at love. When they first new each other they both had issues. For instances, Zach was concern for his family and wanted to make sure nothing happen to them and Cameron hadn't learn to standup for herself. They both had to learn to trust one another, because of what happen in the past. By the end of the story, I was happy with the end results. So, if you like football and second chance romance, this might be a read for you.

Awesome book! Years ago after a drunken night in Vegas Cameron Ondine and Zach Anderson secretly married. Three days later it was over. Yet after all this time, they are both wildly affected by that crazy event as well as each other. Now as a sports reporter Cameron finds herself stuck on assignment covering the Sharks training camp and of course Zach is one of the defensive stars! Their reunion after all this time makes this one fantastic read. I highly recommend it!

This is proving to be a great series. The heroines are good and the author is particularly adept at using the tired romance plots and giving them a fresh take. Catching Cameron takes the " second chance" plot and makes it both realistic and amusing. Cameron and Zach met in Vegas a month before she is due to graduate from Princeton and shortly before he was drafted by the Seattle Sharks. They meet in a bar where he pours his beer on her while trying to buy her a drink. They bring in the dawn at Red Rocks where Zach proposes and they marry in a wedding chapel. Three days later, Cameron finds herself alone and annulled without an explanation and her father telling her Zach took 5 million for the annulment. Cameron works her way up from a low paid assistant to a sports reporter with her own show. She stays away from Zach, a ten year veteran with all kinds of money and fame until a fight for a cab becomes a You Tube sensation interview and they find themselves locked in training camp together for a month.

Cameron is a poor little rich girl without the attitude. She is driven and has had to grow a thick skin. She is good at her job and understands football. She has not been able to commit to a relationship because of the unresolved feelings about her first wedding. Spending time with Zach makes her wish for what they had for those three days, but nothing has really changed. Her family won't accept Zach and his family was threatened by her father and still hold a grudge. She works on the East Coast and Zach is located in Seattle. Finding a believable way to work out these problems was a challenge the author more than met. A great third book!!
