This fourth volume of the Expanse suite is excellent. The struggles of the two different factions to colonize a new planet, and the perilous situations in which Holden and his crew find themselves in their mediation mission are fascinating and utterly credible. As ever, Miller's deadpan and offbeat humor is present and gives some substance to a cast of characters who are otherwise a little bit too stereotyped. The thrill is constant, so you'd better save this book for an extended week end or some vacations, since you will not be able to stop once you start reading it!
