Description du produit

Présentation de l'éditeur

Conscious parenting is about becoming mindful of your behaviour and engaging with your child as an individual.

Dr Tsabary inspires parents to get back in touch with their emotions and shed the layers of baggage they have inherited during their own life and are unconsciously heaping on their children. As they become 'conscious' in their parenting, so parents can transform their relationship with their offspring and raise happy, well-adjusted children.

The Conscious Parent is already transforming the way people are parenting through its sales in the US where it's spent 15 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. Oprah described the book as 'The most profound book on parenting I've ever read' and Eckhart Tolle has said 'becoming a conscious parent is the greatest gift you can give your child.'

The book features a foreword by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 Good info but repetitive 27 mai 2016

This book was good info in regards to being aware of your own presence and letting your kids be what they are however it seemed it was just repeating all the info throughout the book. At times the author makes you feel like if something is happening to your child or when they act up its your own fault. I continued to read it and got past that and then just felt like I was re-reading the same info. She basically does not want you to have any sort of expectations from your kid otherwise they are going to rebel in different ways.

Worth the read for the info but don't feel bad about yourself because of the focus on yourself she puts.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 If you want to become an enlightened, loving and open parent this is such a help and aide. 9 août 2016

Wow, this book is indescribable. You'll just have to read it. It reveals so many areas where we have raised our children in an inferior manner. No guilt trips, but definitely insight into how we can raise and support our children, raising children to raise conscious, aware and enlightened people. Such a positive alternative to the typical broken methods of our educational system and harmful parenting that's plagued the US for over a hundred years.

Dr.Shefali message may be difficult to digest for most parents. For years we have been shamed, blamed, and brainwashed to believe our children are ours to manipulate, mold and shape when in fact the Conscious Parent teaches us that our children are spiritual beings and here to TEACH US. We are both growing together side by side.

If you are done looking for the 'quick fix' this book is for you.

This book will teach you how you cultivate lasting change in your relationships.

I've never been able to get into a parenting book as much as this one.

I never write reviews, but in this case I have no choice. I have a PhD in clinical psychology, and I think this is one of the most important books ever written. EVER. Anyone who has a child, wants to have a child, is having a child, or WAS a child should read this. If Dr. Tsabary's message could get through to any of them, the world would be a better place.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Tsabary demonstrates how the child creates parent consciousness, and,in turn, how the parent instills spiritual awareness. 27 février 2015

This is the best book I've read on child rearing and is probably the best one one re: how to assist children to grow spiritually and emotionally day by day. It teaches the parent to grow and learn from the child. By the time tje child is two, it knows how to push parent buttons and is often one step ahead of its parent. We parents parent the way we've been parented, which may not be the best example. Whether we know it or not, feelings are always in the driver's seat. Gracefully, this is a "how to" read for which inexperienced and experienced parents will be most grateful.

Frankie Schelly, author of Chance Place.
