A lot of people saying they got the Arabic version and it didn't say EDP or something. My packaging is from France and says EDP, has a ref, lot number, and barcode. Maybe the seller was buying the Arabic ones and now only buys the "real" ones? I don't know. Obviously the people wouldn't be making up the Arabic thing, but mine is French af so either they switched it up, or I am lucky!
The bottle is spot on in color and design and wording as it is with the real Creed. If this is fake, then it is like insanely accurate. The sample I have smells more floral than the one in the bottle. When it dries down however, they are both pretty much the same. The bottle version smells a bit more strong like alcohol, but not in a cheap way. Hard to explain, but basically right after I spray it on and inhale really hard, the sample won't burn my nostrils, whereas the bottled one will. Pungent is maybe a better word to describe it.
So yeah, I like the sample version better, but do I like it enough to pay an extra 300$ to get it from Creed directly? If I were made of money, yeah probably, but obviously I wouldn't be writing this review if that were the case ;)
Hope this helps you in your decision. I read all the 1 star and 2 stars that are just like "bro this fragrance smells bad so it's fake bro and I'm pissed I got iced bro!". So yeah... I wouldn't second guess yourself, and if you do, they have a 100% return policy and they give you a prepaid label. SO BUY IT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE haha.
In a nut shell: royal oud smells amazing, is very unique and does smell exactly like the sample obtained from an "authorized" source. Projection and longevity like all creeds are iffy and can vary from person to person depending on body chemistry and You don't need to worry about batch variation with this scent like the others. In regards to the authenticity, I'm confident that this is real deal but I do have some doubts about the whole toilet water PGS thing because all creeds are EDP strength therefore the Middle Eastern version bottles that say toilet water PGS may be of a lesser strength for legal reasons but not noticeably so much when you smell it. When I'm in need of a new bottle I most likely will buy it at full price to compare that very issue but you may or may not even care about this as much as i do.
Please keep in mind all of this is only my opinion based on research i have done and what I have found and I can't speak for any other creed products or scents because this is the only one I bought from a "discounted source". If you have any questions please feel free to contact me
I was a little apprehensive to buy Creed cologne on Amazon but this was the real deal. I have a sample from the last time I was at Neiman Marcus and it smells and wears exactly the same. It costs about half on the internet as is does at the store. I already have 3 other scents, Tabarome, Silver mountain water and Original Santal. If you are looking for a unique scent where you will know that you won't smell like everyone else Creed will not disappoint you.
Trying to describe a scent over the internet is a little silly just know this stuff smells and wears great.
The smell is amazing, it makes me feel relaxed, and happy.
