5.0 étoiles sur 5 Better than I expected 20 septembre 2015

This product worked far better than I expected it to based on other purchasers' reviews. I have a lot of Le Creuset cookware. While it is sturdy and darn near bulletproof, the exteriors can get dull due to cooking on natural gas. I am a bit unclear on the difference between stains and food residue. Food like berries and beets can stain permanently most everything. In my experience the creamy shiny interior of my pans is stain proof. I have never experienced stains from red or purple foods on anything except a porcelain sink and plastic storage containers. As for food residue, such as that left behind by a casserole such as a ziti bake is an entirely different issue. Removing stains, in my experience is best done with something that contains bleach, like soft scrub. It works beautifully on my old white sink. Fortunately my cookware has no such stains. Even cooking a red sauce for hours leaves no stains. That said, I do experience food residue on the interior of various pieces of cookware. For those I find a paste of Barkeeper's Friend and a soft cloth works superbly. But the same method on the exterior of my Le Creuset was not bringing back the sheen. Note that I say sheen. Le Creuset enamel is not glossy like other products, such as their enameled steel line. But the finish should not be dull, either. This cleaner brought the third tool to my arsenal. I polished a jet black pan and it now looks like new. I have a half dozen or so more to polish.

This is not a powder cleanser like Comet or Ajax. It is a liquid suspension. The ingredient that does the polishing is a mineral, feldspar. If the bottle is not shaken the feldspar settles to the bottom. I am an advocate of reading labels, so I shook mine. I am very pleased with my results.

1.0 étoiles sur 5 Completely Ineffective Watery Gruel Even When Used Right Away 3 mars 2014

I've used this product before and loved it, but it's now too watery to work. :-( It used to be nearly thick as paste and did a fantastic job of cleaning dark marks off the inside and outside of my Le Creuset pots with little effort, just gently rubbing it in. This watery stuff doesn't do a thing even when used as soon as the pot cools. Doesn't clean even as well as plain dish liquid. Wish they hadn't changed the formula.

I got this product for my new Le Creuset French oven and my old French oven, over 20 years old now. It was showing its age, residue and some rust marks. I never used anything abrasive on it will ruin the finish on it. It also had quite a lot of metal scratches on it. I purchased this, despite many negative reviews, only to be very happy!!!! A good nylon scrubby and a good couple of tablespoons of this cleaner along with some elbow grease and it's clean, all marks are gone! I highly recommend it. 20+ years of cook and baking stains and scratches totally gone. On my brand new French oven and frying pan........baking and frying residue is very easily removed. Use this when your cookware is new and it will continue to look new. Putting it in the dishwasher dulls the finish, so looking at my old one, it's gotten a dull finish. I'm not putting my new ones in the dishwasher, ever!!!!!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Must have for ceramic coated pans 28 février 2015

If you have any pots or pans with a ceramic coating (or even those 'green' pans from a huge retailer), you need this. It's a little like magic! When my pans get stained up, I use a dab of the cleanser and a tiny bit of water, scrub lightly with a non-abrasive scrubby, and wah-lah! They literally look brand new. And you can use it on the outsides of your pans, too!

What a waste of money. Didn't do anything for me. I gave up. Someone told me to use oxi clean powder. And I did. 1/4 cup oxi clean to a half full water in my Dutch oven let it boil for a few minutes and viola! Good as new. The bottom of my Dutch oven was like a dark mocha map. And oxi clean cleared the maps! Hope this will help others.
