Description du produit

Revue de presse

“Gary is a force of nature. His authentic, raw passion and caring touches everyone. His insights into social media & his message of opportunity could not be more timely.” (Tony Robbins)

“Gary was the first person to push me on the importance of personal brand and transparency – this was months before anyone was talking about it, he’s always two steps ahead of anyone else.” (Kevin Rose, Founder of Digg.com)

“Anyone looking to supercharge their career should beg, borrow, and steal to learn Gary Vee’s techniques. He reinvented the rules to build a $60-million business from scratch—on his own terms.” (Tim Ferriss, #1 NY Times bestselling author of The 4-Hour Workweek)

“Gary Vaynerchuk is one of those entrepreneurs who has discovered the secret to combining passion with business. He is always an inspiration and always entertaining. You owe it to yourself to read this book!” (Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com)

“Gary Vaynerchuk has become a walking, talking (and oh, such talking!), webbing and Tweeting example of how believing in what you do and keeping it fun can step up your life in all ways. There is nobody I would rather talk sports with—or wine or life.” (Scott Simon, host of Weekend Edition Saturday on NPR)

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Like all consuming hard 20 juin 2016

You want to be successful? Then you have to have a plan, you have to work that plan, you have to work hard, and you have to work hard. Did I mention that you have to work hard? You have to work hard. Very hard. Like all consuming hard.

If that's not what you want to hear or what you want to do, then buy How To Win Friends and Influence People and read all the happy path stuff. I am fortunate to have become successful. I did it because I learned the rules and worked very hard at those rules. I worked harder at those rules than most around me. My success is 10 to 20 times more than those I was associated with because I did the work and they read about doing the work.

Vaynerchuk shows you what the rules of his game are and what the work is to apply to those rules. This is not for the faint of heart. But then it all comes down to how badly you want something.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 Quick Easy Read but the Info Seems a Bit out of Touch 23 juillet 2015

I like Gary's approach. He is a straight shooter and it really seems like he genuinely wants to help people. I stumbled upon this because he is speaking at a conference I may go to and I wanted to read about his story. His father's work ethic obviously was passed on to him. Gary has been able to make a name for himself for hosting Wine Library TV, which discusses wine tasting flavors and he gives his opinion. The Wine Library is a store in NJ and is considered one of the best Wine stores in the country. Gary has been a large part of that growth. There is no denying his ability to build a business and to brand himself.

The reason I am giving this book 3 stars is because it is dated. A lot of the book is about branding yourself. Gary suggests doing this by creating your own website, and blasting yourself out there on social media. This is all old info, albeit, still very sound advice. I agree, it's important to get out there and make a name for yourself. It's easier said than done. For those that don't have the extroversion to go out there and start a youtube channel, or find a way to gather 30,000 twitter followers, the task is daunting. Gary suggests using a "Flip Cam" which I haven't seen in years.

The point is this. Get out there and market yourself. Whatever it is you're good at and passionate about, get out there and build an image and brand based on that. I wish this book was updated because I think it needs to be. The world, and technology in particular, change at a rapid pace. This is basic information in this book. I still believe it's worth the read because it's pretty short and easy. It's not a timeless classic, but it's still a good read. I hope to hear more from Gary in the future.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Challenging Ideas from an Internet Marketing Pioneer 6 février 2017

First, I invite you to watch the video portion of my review, where I offer additional comments and provocative quotations. Then please return to this text portion.

A highly respected colleague recommended this book to me about two years ago. As happens with many books we “must read,” I got to Crush It very recently. I found the writing style invigorating. Yes, the author does not suffer from an ego deficiency. On the plus side, his energy and commitment enthrall the reader on every page.

Along those lines, he states: “Someone with less passion and poorer content can totally beat you up if they’re willing to work longer and harder than you are. Hustle is it. Without it, you should just pack up your toys and go home.”

Reading this book reinforced my belief that today's business professionals are indescribably fortunate to have the Internet's help in establishing our brands and convincing others to purchase our products and services.
5.0 étoiles sur 5 GaryVee is the man! He continues to inspire and motivate me to be my best, and truly hustle and grind to be successful! 1 mai 2017

Gary Vaynerchuk is the man! I have read all of his books, and am a huge fan. I first discovered him browsing through books on Amazon, and shortly after read "The Thank You Economy", I then read "Crush It", and then Jab Jab, and Ask GaryVee. I started watching his content on Youtube, and his Keynotes and was just extremely inspired and motivated to get out there and truly start hustling. Gary has so much knowledge to share, and there is tremendous value in his books, and free content on Youtube. If you are an entrepreneur, or would like to be one, this is a must read, a long with his other books as well. Personally my favorite was probably Jab Jab Jab Right Hook, however there is very good stuff in Crush It. I think reading Crush It first is a good place to start, and if you enjoy it then most definitely pick up his other books.
4.0 étoiles sur 5 Great business book! Great book on succeeding in life! 10 mai 2014

If you have a true passion - something that you think about eating, breathing, sleeping - than you will be able to be successful in life and in business by applying the ideas in this book. Personally, I love Gary Vaynerchuk's own passion for life and teaching and inspiring others. I love his style and his authentic delivery. I read the VOOK version - with videos embedded on my Kindle - awesome because you get to actually see and hear real life examples of what Gary and others are doing.

I like him as a person. Here's one of the first things he says in the book, "Well, my secret is that I live by three pretty simple rules: Love your family. Work superhard. Live your passion." (location 38). It's difficult for me to take advice from someone I don't respect. Gary Vaynerchuk, I can respect.

I love what he has to say about being yourself: "Embrace your DNA, be yourself, put out awesome content, and people will be interested in what you have to say. Believe me, if you're that good, people are going to find you, and they're going to follow you, and they're going to talk. And getting people to talk is the point." (location 384).

Social media is a great interest of mine. I like being connected with people. I like it all: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. So maybe Gary Vaynerchuk was preaching to the choir here a little bit because I really agree with everything he talks about. It's free. It's easy. It's easy to get your name/brand/passion out there. He says in his conclusion that "social media is an important part of it for now, but maybe it won't always be. These concepts, however, are forever, no matter what the next business platform or social phenomenon turns out to be." (location 1264).

If you are a brand or a business or an entrepreneur or want-to-be, do yourself a favor, read this!
