Présentation de l'éditeur

All parents relish that very first cry from their newborn baby. Yet as the crying continues it can become deeply stressful. And no sooner have you worked out what your young baby is trying to tell you - often hunger, fatigue or discomfort - than they grow older and the reasons more complex - teething pain, anxiety or simply frustration.

In From Crying Baby to Contented Baby, Britain's bestselling childcare author, Gina Ford, outlines the common triggers for each specific age group, whether it's a five-week-old or a 10-month-old, to help you determine the most likely cause for your baby's distress so that you can respond to their needs and quickly comfort and settle them.

Full of practical tips such as encouraging parents to 'stop, look, listen', and lots of reassuring advice, your baby - and you! - will soon be calm and content once more.

1.0 étoiles sur 5 Disappointing. Like a constant upsell for her other books. 15 mai 2011

It is anecdotal at best. I've been told Gina's methods are great but this particular volume offers little to no help that isnt already out in the internet ad nauseum. She constantly refers to the solutions of the case studies being the methodology covered in the 'New CLB'. Her signature and more expensive book. I would have bought it if it were available in kindle. So I opted for this one out of desperation for a more expedient solution. WASTE!! If I could get my money back, I would.

I dont contend her methods may work but deplore the marketing greed that put this out to fretful and tired parents who will find no reprieve in its pages on its own. SAVE YOUR MONEY and click away.

This book is confusing and not very clear. It seems to be just mostly lists of what time of day your baby should be feeding and napping, and then stories of babies who would not fit those schedules and how Gina Ford changed the schedule to fit the baby. I have no idea how to successfully apply this to my own child. I imagine it would make more sense if I had read her other books first.

I am a Gina Ford Mum through and through and have recently had my second baby. Having followed her advice with my first I do seem to have all of her books. Although I consider myself well versed on the 'Gina Ford' way I do find myself thumbing through all of her books when something particular comes up. This little gem saves all of that time. It's advice is spot on as it consolodates a lot of advice Gina gives in her other books as well as adding a few tips even and old timer like me has not seen. If you need a quick fix for that crying little one then this is a great book, even if you are not following her routines at present.
