Présentation de l'éditeur

Tall, Dark and Alpha Werewolf is exactly what she desires…and everything she fears.

Full-figured nurse January Cabot wants the same things many other women want, but she’s stuck between two worlds, too human to mate into a werewolf pack, but too werewolf to marry a human man. Life is an endless, grueling cycle of 12-hour shifts and 72-hour bouts of Heat, the sexual frenzy that afflicts werewolf females once every month. Predictable, unchanging, soul-crushing…until alpha werewolf Thomas Becker prowls into her life and brings the Peace River Guardians pack with him.

This 19,000-word episode is the first installment in DESIRED BY THE PACK, a paranormal romance that follows the complex relationship between January and the Peace River Guardians werewolf pack. Love scenes are fully realized and at times include explicit language. Some love scenes in the series also feature multiple partners in their human and wolf forms. Intended for readers 18+.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 OMG this series is BS. SAVE YOUR MONEY 25 juin 2014

I decided to write my review on the first book hoping that I'll save somebody money. This series was such bs i wanted to scream. Lets start with the first book. So we meet this pack of alphas and the main hero of the story (Beck) is looking for this woman he met years ago at the same bar that he wanted and he found her. January(lead female and all out rhymes with witch) is there being skanky bc she's a shifter with a dormant wolf and still goes through the mating heat. Apparently because of past discretion's that u find out towards the end of book 3 (that's given in an after thought way) that she doesn't feel good enough to be around other wolves let alone packs. So we do the old battle of the wills thing all the while she screws beck and cross (another pack member). and that's literally it for book one. Engrossing I know smh. Book 2 picks up where they left off. now mind you the first book is free and as pissed as I was with the lead chick I didn't even want to buy the others, but i was stuck in bed with the flu and watching reruns wasn't cutting it. Book 2 more of her childish attitude, the main pack now gets a new member that wasn't properly introduced and more of her screwing new pack members. Now I will say this, and this why i gave 2 stars instead of 1, The guys in the pack are hot as hell, sweet, funny and the sex scenes were pretty on point. But don't expect much from the cliffhanger sex at the end of each book cuz u can tell it was rushed and it gets u right to the point but falls flat at the end like an untried lover. Book 3 more whining, sex, lack luster of a reveal for the "big secret" and another flop of ending sex. And then the last punch in the face was oh btw book 4 is next. wtf!!! I promptly returned all books back for a refund and wanted to rage punch my kindle. What a craptacular series! This series, which honestly could have been an amazing book, if the author put more thought and effort into execution. The premise was good and if she made the leading lady have some kind of redeeming qualities could have made for an amazing and enjoyable read. I don't get how authors pump out this "erotic romance" crap and have the balls to charge $3 for basically a chapter or 2. Here's an idea how bout you put time and actual effort into your writing and charge $10 for it. I don't mind spending the money if it's a quality read, hell I almost went for broke on J.R. Ward and Stephanie Myers books, but I didn't care bc it was quality. Save your money and move on to something else unless u enjoy losing IQ points or time better spent doing something else.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 review for Desired by the Pack: Part One: a BBW paranormal romance (Peace River Guardians) 17 mai 2014

*note: I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review*

This book (and series) is about January, a female wolf shifter who can't shift because she "gave her wolf away when she was younger" (hasn't been explained yet how that happened) and the alpha tribe that needs her as their mate.

I thought this book was okay. I liked the characters and the authors idea of presenting the series in a serial style similar to a soap opera. Based on this, I would actually give the author a 3.5/3.8 stars. My biggest problem was that I sometimes felt just a little out of step with what was going on, like I should know why things were they way they were but I didn't (since this is a series more things may be explained as it goes along).

All in all, I did find this book interesting enough that I will read the next when it is released.

2.0 étoiles sur 5 Did I miss the first book? 2 juin 2014

There were so many bits to this story that it left me feeling like it was the 2nd installment rather than the first. I don't really care much about the characters yet, so not sure if I'll bother with the 2nd book. I'm also not a fan of these serial short story releases- a really good plot would just leave me hanging wanting more but unfortunately this one just left me hanging.

4.0 étoiles sur 5 I like this different take on the werewolf genre 24 juillet 2015

I like this different take on the werewolf genre. I like how the wolves actually serve a purpose, and the fact that their existence is not a secret. But of course there are humans who don't like them, or who are afraid of them and want them dead.
This being a part of a serial, there is definitely a cliffhanger ending, and this is really just an intro to some of the different things that will take place throughout the story.
I like the fact that Beck's pack is actually a pack of alphas and he is the Alpha of the alphas. That alone is very different from most werewolf stories I've read. The fact that January is fighting her nature and the reasoning behind it makes for a very interesting story as well. Especially since most werewolf PNR have the wolves pairing up with human females.
Overall, Part one was a fun read with plenty of action both in and... well actually, ALL out of the bedroom lol. Now on to part two and what January does with the bit of information that Beck gave her at the end of part one.

3.0 étoiles sur 5 missing something 27 mai 2014

having read the authors explaination of why she chose to use the "serial" format, I understand her perspective, I just don't agree. I don't want to pay for "part" of the story and then have to wait for thenext part - honestly by the time the next part is typically released I have already moved on to another story and am rarely interested in going back.

The story had a great premise but was definitly missing alot of details that are possibly being held back for furture releases, but those missing details weren't intriguing enough for me to want to conitue reading the story, it just made the story feel chopped. I.E. why/how her wolf was given away, what is the purpose of having a clan of alpha wolves? does the mating mark only match one alpha?

I do plan to read other stories by Emma Stone, the storyline basis was interesting enough, I just think I will wait until ALL of the parts are out so that I can purchase the story in a bundle prmomtion and read it as a novel instead.
