4.0 étoiles sur 5 Nonpoint developments for their sophomore release. 24 février 2014

Nonpoint take more of a progressive rock approach on their sophomore release. With the same vibe as their first album statement but going into a more prog style reminded me of old school rush albums and old school thrash without ripping these legendary bands off and always having the nonpoint groove. It's a loosely based concept album which each song depicting a day in the life of a frog but in a good but might sound sort of bad explaining throught text. Every song has it's own style and they bring a more collective sound into the mold. Having just straight rock songs, to metal or thrash metal songs, to punk and almost classic or prog rock sounding sounds but always keeping the nonpoint sound. It's worth a listen or two but takes some growing on you but you can see the growth in the band on this album,

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Good effort by a great band 19 août 2013

Development is the most unique album I have heard by the band, because they put on an alternative sound with nu-metal which is very different in my opinion.Development is kind of a concept album, because at the start of a few songs, you hear a guy discussing the stages of a tadpole which is kinda odd,but I do like development.it is not their best album, because they don't do anything special in development, but I do love this album very much.ive yet to find a nonpoint album I don't love, which is something you cant say about every band.

Nonpoint is a great band if you have any respect for talent. The vocalist has wicked range, and they have come a LOOOOONG way in a good direction from their first CD.

If you are a fan I would suggest this one, if nothing else for "your signs", "circles" and "get inside". However if you are looking for an introduction get the albumn "Recoil" (their newest) seeming it is by far the best overall work they have done.
5.0 étoiles sur 5 Nonpoint's Latest Album IS An Outstanding "Development" 18 août 2002

I REALLY like Nonpoint's first album, "Statement." It rocks. ...I anticipated listening to "Development" with mixed emotions. Silly me. It rocks even harder than Statement and I like it even more than Nonpoint's debut. These guys are tight and rock hard when they need to. Which is most of the case here. No excesses, no five minute drum/guitar solos, no silly/embarassing broken heart lyrics here. Far as I'm concerned, Development's got everything a great album should have. The guitar work is tuneful and low-key when appropriate, and peeling-the-paint-off-the-walls when necessary. But mostly, it's in the background like a rattlesnake that's coiled and always ready to strike. Rhythm section's INCREDIBLY tight and just as tasteful with drums and bass: Inventive, fresh, a kick in the pants. Lyrics and singing: Intelligent, introspective at times, always revealing. No BS on this album, fellow babies. Buy it and turn the volume up. Way up. Way, way up!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Seriously underrated 19 mai 2006

This is an exceptional cd that can certainly compete with anything System of a Down, Disturbed, Chevelle, or any other alternative metal band has put out. The fact that Nonpoint never achieved the success of those groups is unfair, because this album rocks, and rocks hard. Song after song is both bruisingly heavy yet pleasingly melodic, with catchy, memorable hooks to boot - these guys do it right. Only the clumsily mediocre "mountains" lessens the fun. Their songs are lean and tight and they are talented musicians too, in particular the guitar player, check out the monstrous riffage of "circles" if you don't believe me. Add muscular production complete with room shaking bass and you have one great cd, good to crank after a hard day at work, definitely one of the upper echelon cds in my collection.
