Présentation de l'éditeur

Joseph Corso, the world's greatest mountain climber and CEO of Xtreme Adventures, had called it a season on Mount Everest. He wasn't expecting to lead any more expeditions on the mountain because the hurricane-like monsoon season had started. Corso, back in Seattle and far away from the likes of the Himalayas, is contacted unexpectedly by Jonathan Drake. Drake, a celebrity-style billionaire, wants Joseph to lead an expedition on the greatest mountain, during the most dangerous season of the year, with almost no details about why the expedition is taking place. Drake reveals little other than a discovery has been made, a discovery of epic proportions! Joseph soon finds himself flanked by a world-class paleoanthropologist, a tough-as-nails game warden from Mozambique, and a team of expedition members, which Jonathan Drake has taken a "spare at no expense" approach to their gear. Sherpas? Check. Security Team? Check. World-class scientists, trackers, and most importantly a guide? Check. A billionaire who can afford the best? Check. An insurmountable mountain that can kill you just by its sheer height? Check. Expedition Everest embarks on the greatest journey, the greatest adventure, with possibly the greatest treasure at stake in mankind's history.

Expedition Everest is the first novel in a series developed by Evan Pedone. The second novel in the series is scheduled to be released in late 2016/early 2017 and is well along. The sequel will continue the adventures of the explorers while providing an indepth clarification of the ending that many readers yearn to know more about.

Expedition Everest is a thrill ride written by explorer and Cryptozoologist Evan Pedone who is the founder of the Florida Paranormal Society. Visit http://www.evanpedone.com to learn more about the author.

WIN A SIGNED PICTURE COVER!
Evan Pedone will be running a contest and one lucky winner will receive an Autographed Expedition Everest Cover Picture.

"I got the idea after I was contacted by a fan from the United Kingdom who requested a signed picture cover. I think it is a great idea, and as my reader base grows, I hope to find other ways of showing my appreciation for the support that I have been given. I am currently working on two novels that are nearing completion. One is a sequel to Expedition Everest. I have been blessed that I have found my audience, and I listen to all the feedback and support given to me by the readers. I am very grateful, and humbled by every one of you, and I hope to create stories that you will enjoy and share with others. The greatest gift you can give an author is to review it, and share it."

To enter the contest, simply submit a review of Expedition Everest on Amazon.com. On December 1, 2014 a winner will be made aware on Amazon.com through the comment's section of the review.

HASH(0x9cd96060) étoiles sur 5 Expedition Everest took an unexpected turn... 8 avril 2014

I gave this only four because although I thought the story line was good, the action was there, the characters were well played, I did not like the ending at all. I was thinking what happened here? I can't really say much about the ending because it will spoil it. All I'm saying is it does not end the way you think it will end. Sometimes that happens in a book and its fun. It did not work for me in this case. I did read it to the end and anyone who likes expeditions such as this will enjoy it and there was plenty of tearing of limbs and chomping of heads but Evan Pedone you only get four stars from me because of the ending.

HASH(0x9c10eca8) étoiles sur 5 Disappointing 26 avril 2014

The story started off with a promising locale and a promising idea... but fell flat. The ending was like a crop duster suddenly dropping a million dollars right in your lap. It was completely unexpected, but not in a good way. It involved an extremely fortuitous find that the characters weren't even looking for. It could have been a part from a different book.

One of the big problems was the arbitrary sprinkling of commas. For example: "Suture, Malcolm's wound." (And the guy's name was Malkovich, not Malcolm.) It really was like someone threw a bunch of commas in the air and they were left where they fell. On top of that, all the characters repeatedly used proper names in normal conversation. It sounded so unnatural. If you are alone with one person, is it really necessary to say the person's name before your every comment? Not to punctuate a tone or emotion; just to say the name. This isn't from the book, but an example:
Joseph: "Drake, where have you been?"
Drake: "Joseph, I've been here."
Joseph: "Drake, I didn't see you here earlier."
After a while, it got annoying and sounded disjointed, enough to pull you out of the story. And all the characters did that.

There was also a lot of repetition, like telling us that the expedition leader was very concerned about the welfare of his team.

Not one of my better buys.

HASH(0x9c10eb88) étoiles sur 5 The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly 21 mai 2014
Par Amazon Customer - Publié sur Amazon.com

It would have been easier to have swallowed a full bottle of castor oil than it was to force myself to finish reading this book!

The Good: I am fascinated by books on Everest and I liked the premise of this story.

The Bad: It is astounding that Amazon would allow such a poorly edited book to be sold under the Amazon name. This book has the most atrocious punctuation and grammar of any document I have read - and that includes the term papers of my college students! The author (and anyone involved in the publication of this book) has absolutely no concept of the function of a comma and where it should be inserted in a sentence. The grammar used in the book is unbelievably sophomoric. Allowing a sentence like, "I new he would come soon," is absolutely inexcusable!

The Ugly: I finished the book, as bad as it was, simply to see if I agreed with the opinions of other reviewers (whose reviews I read after I started reading the book.) The ending is an absolute pile of gibberish. It is so implausible as to be laughable.

My conclusion: Reading this book was an absolute waste of my time and I like books about Mount Everest!

HASH(0x9c10ec78) étoiles sur 5 What was this story about? 15 juin 2014

The story started out okay but toward the end it lost track of what the main theme was about. I did not like the end of the story at all. To much left unanswered so as for me I don't think I will read anymore from this writer. I am not mad or angry as the book basically cost nothing and I don't expect much from these authors as they are all just novices. But please guys have someone objectively read your stories for content, spelling and punctuation before submitting them. Doing this might increase readership and increase sales of your stories.

HASH(0x9c111ba0) étoiles sur 5 Don't waste your time on this one! 11 mai 2014

This reads like a translation from another language. Some of the sentences don't make sense and the spelling is atrocious. It turned out to a religious tract. I'm sorry that I wasted my time and money on this one.
