Biographie de l'auteur

Jams N. Roses is a father of one and grew up in Hertfordshire, England. He has spent a few years living on the Costa del Sol, Spain, and currently resides in Nice, France. He primarily writes novels that are steeped in crime with a psychological twist, but has a naughty sense of humor that can sneak its way into his work, so much so that his third release, Extremely England is an hilarious, satirical comedy. IMPORTANT NOTE: Books by Jams N. Roses are rude, crude and brutally honest. They'll take you back to your misspent youth, and leave you wiping your brow for having survived it. These books are not family-friendly, Christian stories. If you are easily offended, hate to acknowledge that drug or alcohol abuse exists, are disgusted that sex is more than just a tool for procreation, or can't stand to read the occasional swear word, then save your blushes and don't read these books. However, if you want to read about people living life on the edge, then you've come to the right place. From the author... "I love the creation of stories, and although I spend days and weeks and months working on a plot, it's the emotions of my characters that I enjoy delving into. My first published novel, 'Get Clean', really has my heart and soul poured into it. Although I feel a bit naked by putting a story out there that contains so much of my life, I'm happy with the book, and a little proud of my first writing achievement. Also available is 'Son of a Serial Killer'. This story was born in my mind when I was going through a difficult phase in my life. I felt let down by the person closest to me, and I was angry and upset. What better way to expel those emotions than to throw them into a book? The story itself isn't based on my life like my previous novel, but the emotions captured within the pages are feelings I had to battle with for far too long. My third release, 'Extremely England', is something completely different. It's a satirical comedy poking fun at society and the way it is portrayed by the media - I enjoyed writing something that wasn't so dark for a change if I'm honest! Just recently, I've released my fourth novel on Amazon. Back to the darker side of life, 'Finding Her Feet' is the tale of a young girl, who grows up in a family that suffered a terrible tragedy. To be read with a box of tissues handy. I am a big film fan, and would have to admit that I have an eye on the 'filmability' of my stories when writing them. One day..."

"Extremely England" by James N. Roses is clever, witty, and very funny at times. I love the author's sarcastic look at the British society and all the fun twists he put in the plot. It's a light-hearted tale of absurdism, hypocrisy, and convoluted politics.

If you have ever lived in a country that held any kind of elections - and that's a lot of countries! -- you will enjoy this book. One of my favorite lines in the book is a description of the moment when one of the characters "saw Bobby's hope of promotion disappear in a big cloud of Arabic smoke."

I really enjoyed all the clever and funny turns of phrase in this book. Very entertaining.

"Extremely England" by James N. Roses is a funny satire. It is witty at times, sarcastic and farcial at others, and revolves around a group of characters involved in politics, journalism and the police force.
It is a clever story with some amusing twists, all surrounding an upcoming election in the UK. With sharp observational skills Roses depicts modern live in England with some of its absurdities and hypocrisies. If you live in the UK as I do you are bound to find this as amusing as I did.

I laughed out loud so many times when reading this book. The characters are great caricatures of the politicians, police and journalists that we've growm to live and hate in equal measure in the UK. There is a plot to this story, it is a mystery really, but it isn't to be taken too seriously. It's really good fun and I recommend it.

I liked 'Extremely England' a lot. The humor ranges from slapstick to sarcasm and everything in-between. There is a good range of characters that keep the storyline moving. A real, humorous book that had me laughing a lot.

A fun story with gags scattered throughout. The characters are extreme as the title suggests but it really works well as a fun light read. I noticed a couple of typos but nothing to get upset about. Well worth a read.
