The worst part, I emailed seller and just got a reply of application instructions. I thought at least an offer to replace the defective product would have been fair. I see others have reported this problem too, and probably believe they are installing it wrong. This is not the case.
I'll spend another dollar or two and get a protector with more quality control, or at least from a seller that makes it right if they ship bad product.
The first screen protector had a huge dent in it, and this was even before I even applied it to my phone. I put it on my screen anyway, but it was still pretty noticeable, so I did what any normal person would do. I chalked it up to a loss, and figured it wasn't a big deal since I had 2 more anyway. I'm pretty good at putting screen protectors on, and I'm the type of person who doesn't even mind if there are remaining air bubbles or that sort of stuff, but when I applied the second one on, I saw air bubbles PLASTERED on my screen. Wow, bad day for me, I thought, so again I threw away the second one, and pulled out the third screen protector. At first, I thought I had applied them wrong, but nope. Upon closer inspection of the third one (I didn't take off or peel anything yet), I noticed that indeed it wasn't some mistake by me. It's really hard to describe, but there were already air bubbles (they look like dents actually, but it's not the kind from misapplication of screen protectors, but instead manufacturing problems? I don't know).
Still, it was better then the first two, and again, I'm not the type of person who minds a few here and there, so whatever I thought. When I was ready to take the tabs off (the markers that tell you what side to peel off of), it didn't peel off at all...if you ever tried to scratch/peel off a price tag (think Gamestop and the mess they leave behind when you try to take it off), it looked exactly like that. It left a whole bunch of residue on my phone, and for kicks, I took the other two screen protectors that were thrown away to see if they had similar problems. Yup, they each left a residue on the screen protector. I had to get some goo-gone and clean it off.
You could be thinking, this guy problem got a bad draw of the lot, and you could be very well right. So ignoring these major problems, here's my attempt at describing the actually product. Quality wise, the screen protector is like the screen cover that was on the Galaxy S3 when you unbox the phone, but the cover is a little thicker, and a bit clearer as well. When you apply the screen protector, the top and bottom doesn't apply to the galaxy s3 screen 100%, so there are these air gaps/bubbles, which is not a pleasant sight. So here's the TL;DR version: don't buy, spend a few more bucks on some other brand. Fosmon came recommended online (but then again, I've read that alot of Amazon reviews that aren't verified are mostly fake), so I was extremely disappointed.
Having worked for a national, well-known electronics store chain, I have applied hundreds of screen protectors from various brands on to many different phones, so, I have experience. As others have indicated the shield does not go completely to the edge, which, if you have an Otterbox case, this is a huge benefit as the rubber gasket tends to buckle other screen protectors that run to the edge.
The main problem is that the Fosmon Screen Protector is just not precision cut and it requires a lot of patience to get it just so. While moving the screen protector about and wiggling it here and there, eventually, you will get a few tiny dust specs that adhere to the protector itself. I burned up two of the five shields to get a somewhat satisfactory application. I will come back in a couple days and apply another one rather than let frustration ruin a third shield. Maybe I am a perfectionist but the one or two specs, as tiny as they are and not in the way of the main display--I still want it done right. This is not a wet application, which I prefer but I knew that going in. You get 5 protectors, a cleaning cloth, and a squeegee for pushing the air out which you will definitely need, and instructions. The seller delivered well within the specified time quoted.
