Présentation de l'éditeur
The winter solstice is approaching. The shadows are growing longer. Exactly one week before the darkest night of the year, Ruja, a young woman of the Pine People, traps and kills a fox. She works in complete isolation, first fashioning a hood from the fox’s pelt, then a necklace from its teeth and bracelets from its claws, and finally painting her face with its blood.
Arming herself with the fox’s cunning and her own determination to succeed, she sets off on a hard and desperate journey that will lead her through realms of dreams, primordial spirits and restless phantoms, shadowed by a great wolf with eyes of ice and a bone-white pelt - into the land of Death itself.
She will stop at nothing to recover what was lost.
