This is my favorite release by Duskfall so far. It sounds like Old In Flames meets Death. Its a great album I definitely recommend it for all fans of death metal...

1: The Light - 5/5 a great opening for this album.

2: Age of Errors - 4/5

3: Agoraphobic - 5/5 It gets me in a headbaggin' mood :)

4: Poison The Waters - 4/5 sounds like a Dark Tranquillity song...not sure which though.

5: None - 4/5 one of the albums better songs

6: Farewell Song - 5/5 another great song with great riffs

7: Frailty - 20/5 - its THE best duskfall song in my opinion.

8: Tune of Slaughtered Hearts - 5/5

9: Just Follow - 10/5 another song I love...I like the emotion to it.

10: Deliverance - 5/5

Tomas Lindberg eat your heart out! Great guitars, blasting drums, smooth melodies and shreding vocals. This is what At The Gates might have sounded like if they had stayed together. Think Soilwork's "The Chainheart Machine" only better. This is simply a perfect Gothenburg style melodic death/thrash album. I am a new convert and now pray at the altar of The Duskfall. People, it just doesnt get any better than this.

These guys totally slipped under the radar with a solid follow-up to Source. Every song is well crafted and rarely gets repetitive. The order of the songs are exceptionally well placed as well. Get into these guys but don't tell your friends... we don't need to see any The Duskfall t-shirts at the mall anytime soon.

They don't really sound like In Flames just sort of the same style as older In Flames minus the instrumentals and acoustics.

There must be something in the water in Sweden. Only that could explain why that one nation has produced more quality metal music than practically every other nation on Earth. And in honour of tradition, here comes yet another bunch of Swedes to make us bow down to their nation by way of hammering us with huge slabs of melodic death metal.

Every aspect of this album makes me think of At The Gates on steroids. "Frailty" is, in my eyes, The Duskfall's best offering so far. They specialise in belting out huge, fast, fat riffs, intertwined with infectious, soaring melodies guaranteed to get you on your feet and air guitaring. This album really has anything a metalhead could ask for; melody and death metal grooves in equal measures, emotion and fury packed into every note, epic chorus arrangements, a vocalist who sounds like he was taught to sing in the ninth level of Hell, speed galore, and most importantly, the overwhelming sense of pure POWER washing over you. It is nigh on impossible to listen to "Frailty" without headbanging. It may not be the most original album ever, but hey, it's the execution that counts! All hail The Duskfall, the saviours of melodic death metal!

One of the best metal albums of all time!!! Get the remastered double gold CD of Source and Frailty together for about the same price though.
I have both as I didn't realize Amazon had it until I already ordered this alone. Frailty is amazing. Source is really good too.
