Extrait

Page 1 (from the foreword):
The last decades of the twentieth century have witnessed an upsurge of human knowledge that boggles the mind. Out advances in every field of science and technology are no longer measured in centuries or even decades but in years and even months, and they seem to surpass in attainments and scope anything that Man has achieved in the past.
But is it possible that Mankind has come out of the Dark Ages and the Middle Ages; reached the Age of Enlightenment; experienced the Industrial Revolution; and entered the era of high-tech, genetic engineering, and space flight?only to catch up with ancient knowledge?
For many generations the Bible and its teachings have served as an anchor for a searching Mankind, but modern science appeared to have vast us all adrift, especially in the confrontation between Evolution and Creationism. In this volume it will be shown that the conflict is baseless; that the Book of Genesis and its sources reflect the highest levels of scientific knowledge.
Is it possible, then, that what our civilization is discovering today about our planet Earth and about our corner of the universe, the heavens, is only a drama that can be called "Genesis Revisited"?only a rediscovery of what had been known to a much earlier civilization, on Earth and on another planet?
Page 3 (Chapter 1, The Host of Heaven):
In the beginning
God created the Heaven and the Earth.
The very concept of a beginning of all things is basic to modern astronomy and astrophysics. The statement that there was a void and chaos before there was order conforms to the very latest theories that chaos, not permanent stability, rules the universe. And then there is the statement about the bolt of light that began the process of creation.
Was this a reference to the Big Bang, the theory according to which the universe was created from a primordial explosion, a burst of energy in the form of light, that sent the matter from which stars and planets and rocks and human beings are formed flying in all directions and creating the wonders we see in the heavens and on Earth? Some scientists, inspired by the insights of our most inspiring source, have thought so. But then, how did ancient Man know the Bog Bang theory so long ago? Or was this biblical tale the description of matters closer to home, of how our own little planet Earth and the heavenly zone called the Firmament, or "hammered-out bracelet," were formed?
Indeed, how did ancient Man come to have a cosmogony at all? How much did he really know, and how did he know it? --Ce texte fait référence à une édition épuisée ou non disponible de ce titre.

Revue de presse

"Sitchin is a zealous investigator into man's origins . . . a dazzling performance." (Kirkus Reviews)

" . . . a mind-boggling revelation sure to overturn current theories about the origins of humankind and the solar system." (Suzette, reviewer, sci-encebooksarchaeology.blogspot.com, Dec 2008)

"Exciting . . . credible . . . most provocative and compelling." (Library Journal)

"Sitchin's works are outstandingly different from all others that present this central theme. His linguistic skills in the languages of antiquity and his pursuit of the earliest available texts and artifacts make possible the wealth of photographs and line drawings appearing in his books from tablets, monuments, murals, pottery, and seals." (Rosemary Decker, historian and researcher) --Ce texte fait référence à une édition épuisée ou non disponible de ce titre.

Ok. I am an avid reader, that said I love the books he writes, the concept anyways. However, I find them incredibly repetitive, and I want to yell at the book 'yes, I believe what you are trying to get across, stop selling it to me!' But it's definitely a great read just not a good flow. If you are interested in theories of where we came from get these books. I believe in God but not the Christian God because Christianity is not at all old and is so ridiculous...what loving God would ask Abraham to kill his son...really?? A test?? That's cruel. Open your eyes, don't be scared! You won't be punished for seeking knowledge! I grew up baptist so I know the bible but as I've grown older I research everything before buying it from dog food to lotion, so for my soul...dedicating my life to it...sorry bible...not buying it anymore. Doesn't add up. Shouldn't need faith if it's real. It's cool if your Christian, awesome in fact, just not for me. (And make sure you learn where Christianity came from....if you don't know the answer you should) Anyways this book will make you think!!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 MIND BLOWN! 11 décembre 2016

I have ALL the Sitchin books. These little paperbacks are VERY DIFFICULT to read. The print is small, and the print quality varies from page to page. Order the bound books. Larger, consistent print. Less eye fatigue.

With that said, these books will CHANGE your life paradigm. If you are prepared to accept that everything you have been told to believe MAY NOT be the whole truth, and that the answers to the questions about creation as explained by Sitchin actually do make ALOT of sense in light of what we now know about our ancient ancestors...then be prepared to have your mind blown. We haven't even begun to grasp the potential of our own divine creation, and his books will open your "eye" to the present current change in the human dynamic and the shift in our cosmic consciousness. This has been going on all around us for decades, and once you're aware of it, you'll never see things the same again. I can't read these fast enough!! We have so much catching up to do!

5.0 étoiles sur 5 I view as a great hero of the world 20 août 2015

Zecharia Sitchen, I view as a great hero of the world. I own all of his books-that must be written by him. I await one new one I understand completed by his daughter titled "Annunaki Chronicles". This will be an important teaching as well, as there are facts that people don't always understand since its all a new Revelation of our Age". For example: Many who are not engineers don't understand how they can be Gods and come in Rocket ships, thus they decide that God can not do that since they were taught wrong. Then after finally believing that they can't understand how they could have computer controlled machines to carve out granite sculptures. Also, though the Annunaki created The Zodiac, people don't understand they had to have great telescopes to see that far and live a long long time to build that 26 thousand year clock. So in summary Human's, the seed of the Annunaki need continuous teachings about the meaning of the Annunaki creations.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Sitchin was a one-of-a-kind visionary 7 mars 2013

Every book in the Earth Chronicles series is a delight to read. You may not agree with all of Sitchin's theories regarding Nibiru and the Anunnaki, but his chronology of ancient history and global events is spot-on, and his understanding of Sumerian mythology and language is impeccable. Regardless of the personal conclusions you arrive at after reading his work, I can certainly guarantee that you will also come away with a much greater sense of possibility for our ancient past, and the realization that there is much, much more to our history than we've ever been led to believe. In my opinion, it is the great work of researchers like Zecharia Sitchin and others that will ultimately bridge the gap between evolution and creationism, and finally reveal to us the long-hidden truths about our celestial origins.

5.0 étoiles sur 5 Zecharia Sitchin 22 octobre 2013
Par William Wilkie - Publié sur Amazon.com

Zecharia Sitchin's books are all very readable and well-written and he refers to sources that can easily be checked. Since his death in 2010, more and more facts are uncovered that Sitchin has explained - water on the moon, water on Mars, strange images in Mars photographs (especially on one of its two moons Phobos). Here on Earth we have to come to some understanding of why the oldest stone structures were built with massive stonework that we would have difficulty moving with the biggest cranes we have today. We cannot pretend any longer that our ancestors built these massive structures with copper chisels and stone hammers. Sitchin has the answers, and it seems nobody else has.
