This is generally a good book with some great recipes that are simple to make - however please be aware that Barley contains gluten and so you would need to adapt the Mushroom Barley Soup recipe. It does concern me, as a gluten free chef, that a fellow chef would publish a recipe that contains Barley, therefore making it not gluten free!!

30 recipes of gluten free lunch and brunch dishes is the 4th book in a series of gluten free cookbooks by this author and i can say the recipes never feel repeated and never lack flavor. This cookbook is a group of delicious recipes that are great for lunch or brunch. There are soups, salads, sandwiches, stews and many other great dishes. Each dish uses tasty ingredients such as broccoli, veal, mangos and fish. One of the best looking recipes was the spinach salad. It had spinach, mangos, honey, chestnuts and more. I think that may be the first recipe i try. I enjoyed this book because it gave great options for eating gluten free. Suffering from celiac disease myself i know how hard it is to get tasty gluten free dishes. This book offers some really great gluten free meals.

To all people on a gluten free diet for medical reasons beware that Barley is NOT GLUTEN FREE and there's another recipe in the book called Turkey Club that states to use gluten free wheat bread which makes no sense because if its gluten free there's no WHEAT in it, so for the people who's new to the gluten free diet and unsure about some things do NOT EAT BARLEY and there's no such thing as gluten free wheat bread.That was the only problem with the recipe book all the other recipes were great but that one problem is HUGE for someone who can get very sick from eating gluten, that's why I gave it only one star.

Poor editing and misinformed author could put Celiacs at great risk! barley? No way is that safe. I attribute the "Soy sauce" without the "gluten free" in front of it to be poor editing and not another author error...I hope. And canned crab meat is safe, as long as it is true crab and not imitation. Won't be promoting this book.

I'm new to my gluten free journey, and even I know that barely contains gluten. We're not talking "hey make sure your soy sauce is safe gluten free" but flat out barely containing recipes (mushroom barely soup). Very scary. Regardless of how great the recipes might be, this glaring oversite is just too much.
